Double Nikouls ouch times. Still has two linkable specialists and a CD HMG for taking out cheerleaders. Has two fairly hard hitting link leaders in the Ectros and Neema with the Sakiel with viral rifle as backup.

I approve this list. Nice work, Tom!

For even more funzies you could almost straight swap one of the Nikouls with a Kotail mobile unit. Would give you some backup for the Gao-Tarsos for picking on backfield stuff.

The worst part about Infinity is that it's so fun you want to buy everything, and you should, because that's the best problem to have.

I'm considering going for the one with a spitfire. In a lot of lists for Tohaa I have to try and spend my SWC. I suppose compared to the one with two you only get 1 extra point of DAM out of the deal. Oh and a slightly better range band (new version dependent).

Oh and what is the deal with people hating on the Ectros with vulkan shotguns. Read up on them yesterday and a shotgun with AP and Fire sounds awesome! Especially for Tohaa that with all the zero-v smoke thrown around shouldn't have an issue getting into range with it. Or is it a simple case of people seeing the HMG/Viral option and thinking they are just better?

Right now, shotguns are just all around "Meh". You can get better guns with better range and the same damage for the same cost. In N3 this will change but for now people kind of overlook them.

Well the reason why I think it is awesome is the general lack of AP weapons Tohaa have access to. I suppose if I had something similar to a Pan-O Mage Knight (the one that is like 26 points with a panzerfaust) I don't think I'd care as much. But to me sneaking up to your opponent with zero-v smoke and then going B3 with Fire+AP on a template (even a small one) sounds nom nom.

in n3, shotguns will be at +6 at 8 inches.

that should help rip apart any armored dudes at short range.

tohaa are scared of using shotguns b/c it forces them to get in close, and tohaa dont want to get too close (fire buurn, fire baaadd!!!)

probably the only guy who can go head to head with achilles is the avatar

Nope, hackers can use any repeaters in the entire army, not just the combat group.

How does xp work for those specialists. I haven't tried tinkering with that at all (since I don't really understand it).

In the army builder, you can spend xp on devices, skills and weapons. In regular its, it's kosher to spend 12 xp for one spec ops in your army. It's basically there to make up for any lacking expensive skills in your army.

Think of it as basically a line trooper you can give upgrades too, like a space marine captain (if you could also pay to upgrade his stats)

So I tried playing with it a little. Holy frig why would a Tohaa player take anything but the dire foes specialist. In comparison you'd have to spend a stupid amount of xp. And you can't get the same rifle (she has a k12 combi rifle).

I suppose you could make something more specific, but damn does she have a lot of pricy rules.
