-yes

-so as long as the centre of the template is placed outside a shadow zone, I can blast a marked target just by touching them with the template, and still get the forward observer bonus!!!

That don't make much sense to me but alright. Just remember the blast isn't very big and the buildings can be quite tall.

I checked a bit more into this after my game today with Colin (he spec shot my face off).

As long as you declare a target, and place the centre of the blast outside a shadow zone, you can spec fire!

Spec fire is kinda crazy... It only takes range and the -6 mod to hit. So odd, plus cover, or such are if ignored!

I was wrong on the location of a spec shot Colin! You can't fire from a shadow zone either.

There isn't. The reason is link teams are more malleable and not set in stone. You can create then and break them on the fly.

Daturazi to toss smoke, while anathematic hides in it and blasts out via msv 3, a Combat jump trooper to scare the other player during deployment, a total reaction bot in case I have to face a AD:combat jump unit as well, the allways auto-include autocannon, and a spec ops hacker for quick grabs of the objectives. Round that out with all the benefits for all the races, which makes up for the lack of sectorial linky-ness!

Looks like fun. Lots of nasty tricks and utilities.

Also on the same vein, something really fun for an imperial service sectorial, with beautiful figs...

interesting lists! I always like to try abd get 9-10 orders at 300 pts, 7 orders is a tad light when running a tag! Are you gunna proxy your dragoes as a uhlans (since there is STILL no fig for this awesome tag)?

i probably will time to time, yea.  i'm also hoping that once darren gets the other models i requested in, i can drop some of the HI models to save points and field a few more LI to get more orders into that list.
