ARMY LISTS- post your ideas here!!

Holy hell I think you can knock off about 6 of those auxilia and include something that will kill stuff. The forums aren't a great resource as they think Bolts suck (but they really don't).

I would know off about 6 auxilia and include a swiss guard and a drop troop or maybe some more bolts. Auxilia are ok but they're squishy and short ranged. A good player is just going to keep you at arms length and knock your specialists off.

EDIT: Mike can you remind me what you do have? I can take a shot at making you a list with what you have, and make some suggestions on where to go next.

I feel 10 orders for neoterrans with some good toys is sufficient (though as Tom said I wouldn't go below 10). Also hmc does have suppression fire so it's still not bad in aro especially on a bs 15 tag...

So really I don't feel that those lists are so bad if you can get a couple more orders into them.

I don't care for the auxilia one but I just hate the models so I am biased XD

In a spec-ops tourney you could easily slide a spec-ops with engineer/doctor in where the extra fusilier is.

The problem with expecting to use supression fire is twofold. One you have to hope that you have enough orders to spend one to activate it. In low model count lists that gets even harder (although command tokens help aleviate this). Two you have to hope your opponent doesn't shoot you from further than 24 inches away. Not hard to do on a gigantic TAG. At that point you can either take the shots or drop suppression fire.

@ Dusk - Auxilla spam is the opposite end of the spectrum. You've gone from having to many points invested into heavy hitters to not really having any at all. Sure you've got some firepower in the link with ML and HMG. But again fusiliers are not very hard to kill. And as Ian pointed out everything else is so short ranged even a spitfire will sit at 24" and chew through them in short order.

Here is a list of things I try to build my list to take care of. If any one of them would give you a hard I'd put some serious thought into it.

-Objectives: need to have enough button pushers to make sure you can actually win. It is especially important to have a good spread for classified, even more so if Extremly classified is a mission.
-TO Sniper: these guys can dominate a board if you don't have a way to counter them. It can be zero-v smoke, It can be an MSV2 sniper of your own.
-TR HMG: So good almost everyone brings one. Similar to the TO sniper having one gun your guys down with a way to deal with it no good.
-Warband spam: Not many people still do this but bringing a bunch of cheap warbands and trading models is still a reliable way to deal win games
-TAGs/HI: Need something to go toe to toe with the big nasties or a way to neutralize their effect on the game.

I'm sure there are others things to keep an eye out for.

Well I would argue that with the tag move stat, and amazing gun you can probably carve your way up into a favourable position to set up suppression fire.

Mobility is huge in infinity and I will say having a 4-4 vs a 4-2 move specialist makes a huge difference.

That's a good list of things to keep in mind and I would add mobility to the list. Do you have something that can help you grab board control so you can set up for the win?

@Ian that list looks good to me! The only thing I would swap would be adding the hexa to the main group unless you plan to regularly deploy him via hidden deployment.

That's what he's there for! He can move into the main group when someone dies or if you're desperate to do something with 2 orders, which I've done before with a drop troop.

i'll also note that out of the models, my favorites would have to be the bolts and the nisse and the akalis.  after that, i would say the swiss guard and orc troop models, and then fusiliers.  i've been debating ordering the special weapons fusiliers as well cause i like a few of those.  I also like the auxilia models overall, but i wish they updated them already because i don't like the old style combi-rifles.  oh, and i really like that new Croc-man model they released too.  might buy one of those for the collection.

i was browsing some other sites and thought of these lists as well this morning. thoughts?

I would Think about More orders for group 2. Speculo is gunna need all the orders to do anything.

Also unidron with missile launcher is kinda meh. Bs11 with no link is so-so

Give him burst two in aro. Or marksmanship lvl 2 in active turn. Was the thinking on the two unidrons.

Not sure what to cut for more orders. I would think 4 is good for the spec. Really there to mess with my opponent more than anything. If it bags a solid target even better.

So tried writing a list with some of the newer models. I'm not sure if I like it? More orders is good but couldn't squeez Keesan in so no hacker (obviously can't use it for some missions). other than that has some of my mvp models (gao -real sniper in a link, neema, drop troop with hmg). I'm curious if the symbio beast will be good.

The only thing I don't like about this list is that your Lieutenant is also your HMG. He's going to be involved in a lot of fire fights and as soon as you lose one you're going to be in trouble.
