For # of link teams IIRC:
Regular/Vanilla armies - none
Sectorial - one
Tohaa/Aleph - depends on characters/choices.

In the rulebook at least (which will probably carry over to ITS) you don't need a specific specialist but a specific one might get you a bonus modifier or a negative modifier. For instance, in Nimbus zone, an engineer makes a normal roll to shut off the generators but everyone else makes a WIP-3. The consoles are the same but a hacker gets a normal roll and everyone else is WIP-3. Things like that.

New list idea! I have seen a lot of 4 solos plus two triad lists floating around and wanted to do a take for it myself.

Thoughts?

nice mix of weapons. Armand "le Muet", do you have him? Since he's the only merc combined can use, I thought about trying him out.

Currently only available through the ITS tournament pack. After this season I think he becomes available on the store? (little hazy on the details). He seems really good though. ODD plus MSV1 and a multi-sniper would make him a bit of a turd to shift.

I have yet to try a game with both Rasails. To many points to get the three triads in that I have been running. Then again for their points they are pretty beefy as long as you don't mis-deploy and leave one within range of a stupid transforming robot with a flamethrower >.>

After having played against one dirty rasail playing against 2 would be mean. I can't help but think that you points in Armand could be better spent though. Like a Gao-Rael or a Nikoul or a Gao-Tarsos. Just my 2 cents.

Rasails are pretty boss. Although other than the spitfire their weapon options are all fairly close. Which for a lot of models isn't a huge deal but for Tohaa then you tend to be in flamer range with your big flammable suit. Same thing with the gorgos, you have a big expensive platform that is good at medium to close range, which is also where your biggest weakness is. Can be kinda irritating.

The big reason I brought Armand is to deal with TR HMG remotes. If I can get shoot them from cover, with ODD, and outside of 32" then they get a -12 which means I get two unopposed DA shots. When I played against Jordan last time he was able to stack his TR remote and sniper shutting down huge avenues. Other than a Gao-Tarsos I cannot think of anything that Tohaa has to really deal with it. I suppose I could link up an Ectros HMG but then we are just both crit farming.

Smoking is also a possibility but becomes very order intensive, especially if you start flubbing rolls!

I was thinking Gao-Rael for the MSV2 but I forget Muet has ODD. That is mean on a sniper that also has MSV1.

I guess we'll have to have an ITS tourney so you can try and win the model.

Next time I have some cash I will check out how much ordering a couple of ITS packs would be. That way we can pool cash and hold a couple of local tourneys.

The biggest hurdle would be getting enough terrain together.

Tourney Packs w/ Armand are 40 euros and League packs with Armand are 45 euros. We could probably get some guys to in for a 5 or 10 dollar buy in to play a league.

Admittedly I am not a Haqq expert. We'll need Paz or Dylan's expertise on this.

Well the idea is that the primary group has the mechanized specialists (the Halqa) and two longer range fighters in the Azra'il and the Djanbazan and a close up viral fighter with the Lasiq. The second group is a huge pain with a bunch of cheap panzerfausts and impetuous chain rifles/emarats and a TR HMG.

The remotes are mostly cheap order generators but do provide a lot of board coverage and the Halqa is a WIP 14 hacker.

Saladin lets me get Strategoes three for bonus deployment and order fun. He is incredibly obvious (being the only Straegoes lvl 3 option). I had wanted to put some Hafza? in for some holoprojector 1 (what 3 saladins!?) guessing games but couldn't get them in. (would be really fun to all of a sudden have a saladin turn into a spitfire!)

So Dallas runs a high model count, mostly camo, Ariadna list. I play Aleph, low model count with lots of kit. The question is, which one would do better. I've tailored my list to fight his so it should be an even bout. Hopefully Dallas posts his list as well.

So you changed the Kamael lieutenant to an observer for the list? None of the other models can be a lieutenant.
