skyfire and interceptor if it stays stationary in the movement phase... so if your opponent has his giant ass flyer in reserve. you know... dont move.

I do still like the looks of forgefiends. Dont they start at 120-130 points for the two hades guns?

Defiler and mauler seems goofy.. Im still a fan of the flyer even though its lookong expensive. Im gonna buy it.. Paint it up.. Try it out for a bit and make judgement

I do think the book looks like a ton of fun though. My goals for the book are pretty simple though..

From what I'm seeing, my units should be okay. The beserkers go back to elites, unless I mark up my lord, everything else changes slightly but nothing majorly.

At this point the "me WANTY" units are the apostle and more cultists. Not because of rules, other than rule ofcol

I'm going to refrain from further posts until the book actually falls into my hands.

I dont like being painted as a powergamer when i'm just looking for game balance. Its no fun playing chess when all you have on your side of the board is pawns.

Don't get me wrong guys. I own a crapload of chaos stuff. I really want it to be good. If the rumours we've seen are accurate it's not looking great. And by it's not looking great I mean the stuff I own specifically is not looking great. I have dreadnoughts, rhinos, lesser daemons, daemon princes, plague marines and obliterators. A decent 5th list, but it looks unplayable in 6th.

Mark, Forgeworld stuff is completely balanced so it can't be that good. 5 points more than a Triarch Stalker seems about right.

the vehicle entires are Below. Now,that being said, the marks might be mentioned somewhere else in the codex. but from the look of it, its identical entries to the current dex. The Army list section may give some better options, but i havent seen a scan of those yet.

Looks like you can take a 5 man unit with a plasma gun for 90pts. Almost brings back the good 'ol days of the 5 man unit with the Lascannon - Plasma Gun.

10 man unit looks like it can have Two Plasma Guns.

Lots of options for Marks and Icons. A Close-Combat kitted out unit with Mark of Slaneesh and a Slaneesh Icon might be fun.

the warpsmith has BS 5. go figure.

be interesting to see what models can take power scourges. Couple models with the Flail special rule could ruin a melee units day. It must be limited to walkers or fiends, its Str 8 ap2, and not unwieldy.

My desire to see that whole book is very high. I might have to scratch build a Blastmaster :-)

They seemed pretty cheap to me.. Although im guessing psychic levels rank up fast. I saw the pdf scan but it was a bit blurry.

Berserkers with 1 attack .. Goofy ya.. But cheap and rage helps. Your gonna lose guys going across the field so paying for that extra attack up front prob costs more then rage.. I think.

Leadership 8/9 on the cult marines too. So leadership 8/9 'zerkers too.

being fearless means they wont care much though. some things will hurt them but they are to marine standards now.

I'm glad I can buy heavy bolters for my chaos marines for 10 points. I'm not sure if the autocannon would be a better choice for zero points more. Well played cost analysis men. If you made them 5 points nobody would take them.

The daemon prince entry is a little fuzzy but it looks like they will be unplayable from what I could see. 145 points base with no armour save. Power armour 20 points, wings 40 points, and must add a mark of some sort for even more points. Yeesh.

Based on what we know, I think the new thing to do might be marked lord(s). Probably bikes with icons are good too.... mmm t5 FNP bikes.

dont forget 25 points per psychic mastery level if you want to take some randomly generated shooty!

still got to have a model around. those chaos boon rolls just might give you a monster.


Anyone know if the warpsmith entry is 0-1? I'm thinking that fielding two is going to be the way to go. Giveing Models the Get's Hot rule is probably the most crazy ability in the book. Dakka preds. anything with an assault cannon. Just wish it wasn't a to hit roll. Maybe Nurgle sorcs and princes hoping for Weapon Virus psychic power? its just a straight up maldiction...."your dakkajet has gets hot on all its guns"

Two warpsmiths. Your ruins or Aegis defense line is -2 cover save, and every turn two of your vehicles have Gets hot on all their weapons. The nurgle sorcerers are even bettah, because it doesnt have to be a vehicle. your Autocannon Havocs have gets hot...

Level 3 nurgle sorc on a bike with with a Force Axe - 180 points. has all three nurgle powers. casts Weapon Virus and Gift of contagion as maledictions, then iether drops a 4+ poisoned AP2 pieplate on your face, or charges and force Axe's your Warboss. .. I'll take two and a side of fries plz. (give me a minute while i whine that this 180 point monster only has 2 wounds )

Mike, take one Nurgle power, then two Biomancy powers.

Imagine if that guy gets Iron Arm... T6+D3 (anywhere between T7 and T9)

The idea though is to guarantee Weapon Virus. I would probably roll nurgle until i got it.. and then roll biomancy. Plague wind is fairly amazing at killing units. The only meh nurgle power is gift of contagion. (well nurgles rot.. but you'll probably never see anyone take the primaris power)

Nurgle Daemon prince with two Biomancy spells could be a monster though. Warp Speed and Iron Arm. wheeee. for the low low price of ... exactly 300 points /w wings and power armor. 3/4 the cost of Angron.
