I was feeling a bit bummed by cc units in 6th but if berserkers get rage and counter attack & can take an icon for furious charge and a reroll on charge.. Im stoked.

Im just nit sure if berserkers already get furious or what.. Some confusion happening.

But lord on juggy.. Awesome.

Lot of folks in the same boat as you Robyn. Some very unhappy nurgle/deathgaurd folks out there comaining that nurgle banner gives fear.... And slannesh gives FNP.

But we havent seen what the cult units have for base rules yet. So who knows.

I play nurgle and I am all for the change. Slanesh needed a bit of a boost (some may disagree), but mainly i felt that plague marines already took abuse better than marines for their points. The toughness 5 went along way for what they payed for it and they had FNP on top of that!!! If they get cheaper now than even better!!

True, I have heard the same rumour. I will however add that there is a small note to this. If they do not have said models ready for codex release they will remove the unit from the codex, until the model is ready and release it in a white dwarf, much like the storm talon. Overall though a much better improvement. We will have to see what improvements the future has for white dwarf. I still think other than quality of painted models No Quarter blows WD out of the water but, that is just me.

there is some debate, and i'm not a lawyer. But the Gist of it is that if they release rules for a specific model.. but dont actually produce a model. any other manufacturer could release that model and OWN THE RIGHTS TO THAT MODEL. so GW could get sued when they released their own version. Think of Thunderwolves. Chapterhouse put out "thunderwolf" models before GW did. who owns the Intelectual property to that figurine?

Oh that is all interesting but damn this is a lot more interesting enjoy.

Anyone can make them. Grab some green stuff and get busy! I'm not so sure that giving Slaanesh FNP is so good anymore. It's only a 5+ now, and furious charge no longer grants a +1 Init. I would almost rather have the +1I in 6th. I just hope that all of the cult troops are playable so we see a bit of variety out of the 'dex.

Tim, in many cases (except S8+) that 5+ FNP roll can't be denied, getting that roll against ap2 plasma and power weapons is huge, especially if you can beef up to T5.

Think of Slaneesh Termies taking small arms fire. If I do fail a 2+ save, I still have a 33% to shrug off the wound (and take 6ish more hits). Or if said termies took a plasma gun to the face (or any <S8 wound at AP2 or 1) a 5++ save x2 works out to 55.56% chance to save those wounds (marginally better than a 4+).

I don't know if it's huge, but point taken. It's a thing. Depends on the cost I suppose. Switching from 4+ to 5+ with fewer exceptions seems kind of like a wash to me. It's pretty matchup dependant. Don't forget that Plaguemarines were the only real playable cult troop in 5th edition. At least that's what I understand from those who have their fingers on the pulse of the gaming community at large. Nobody was complaining about the limitations of FNP then.

One good thing is i still get a free dwarf every month from when as a grey knight.. Even though the program ended like 4 years ago. However .. Its always 2 weeks late and keeps me from buying one.

I should get darren to make sure he puts a codex away for me

so.... looking at the Daemon prince.... add fleshmetal (2+ save) + Tzeench mark (reroll saves of 1) = invulnerable to anything less than plasma?

No kidding about the white dwarf being two weeks late makes me cry. I miss the days with Canadian white dwarf I could just about set my clock to when it would be in the post office. Speaking of white dwarf does anyone believe having the WD sub will get us the e - book WD they have rumoured coming. I know I know I'm dreaming oh well.
