Man I can't evn get that dude Moriarty to open his damn bar in Megaton early in the game. WTF is with that lazy guy... NO WORK ethic. It's like they made a gamer within a game. It feels like trying to get into the den at 10:30 on a weekday.

I'm getting pretty tired of going to have a nap, going to the bar, going back for a nap 'cause it's closed ad nauseum. I think I might just start shooting people. I also liked how I could disarm an A-Bomb but I broke 13 bobby pins and couldn't break down the bar door. Friggin apocalypse!

Are you sure you are at the front door? Because I think that Moriarty's is open 24 hrs. (it's at the least open WAY more than it is closed) There is a side door that is sometimes(or always?) locked.

Yup, that back door is always locked but the front door is open 24 hrs!

Dont tease Scott about it though, its his natural extinct to go in the back door..

I never got the medical armor, though I killed every deathclaw in old olney. apparently according to the 'net, it randomly spawns when you are wandering in the sewers, but it didnt for me Sad

I did find the best armor in the game though; the T51b prototype power armor (the first power armor every made). it looks like the power armor from fallout one instead, at max condition (which it starts with) it had dr 50!!!!. pretty awesome stuff, makes you a tank. Its in fort constantine, north, north western quadrant, but you need to do a quest to get all the keys to get into it. Go to underworld, in the bar upstairs. talk to all the patrons, theres a guy there who wants you to go kill a bunch of ghoul haters (its called "Shoot them in the head!" quest) he wants you to bring him these keys to prove you killed them, but dont, keep them, and go back to frt. constantine, and get the armor= Awesome!

So the game is pretty cool, glad I picked it up. I havde one gripe though, No ninja stars! Can I invent them using the tech to build weapons (I don't have any of that stuff yet)?

I just really think it'd be more fun. Apparently there is a ninja skill, so I think I should be able to use some throwing stars too.

Take for example that junkie =I=censor=I= in the shack outside Megaton. I kick the door down and she doesn't even wake up, 'cause she's a junkie whore. First thing I look at is all the sweet ass mugs and =I=censor=I= I can steal, then I see her sleeping in the bed. I'm playing a good guy, but I really wanted to "throwing star the beejezus" out of her to teach her a lesson about getting high and the dangers of drugs in general, but the game designers sort of failed to accurately capture the throwing star element of the game for me.

So I let her live, 'cause I just saw no point in shooting her or stuff. I even got some Karma for being nice and not =I=censor=I= her or nothin'. But I DID steal all her mugs and plates and =I=censor=I= so the joke is on her. Next time she goes on a drug bender and wakes up WITHOUT ninja stars in her back and goes into her crappy kitchen for a drink of coffee she's in for a helluva suprise.

So I hope that I will be able to make ninja stars soon, or the game may loose it's interest for me.

How many ninja's do you think there were in Washington DC before the bombs went off? Do you think there probably were enough to leave hundreds or thousands of throwing stars laying around for you to come across and pick-up?

The goods gravitate to where they're needed in the apocalypse. Every retard knows this. How many Chinese bulit gunses were in DC before the bomb? If I can find infinite amount of rice bullets for my asia pistols WHY can't I find Chinese knock off martial arts gear?

Please THINK before you type Ryan. I would think as a fan of the end of the world you wouldn't need so much explained to you so simply.

First off, they were american football pads and lacross pads.
Second, there is no such thing as chinese ninja's
third, China invaded DC thats why you can find all those crummy chinese pistols

Well, technically there are shurikens, of a sort in post apoc DC. get the schematics for the "Rock-it launcher" this will built you a reverse vacuum cleaner, with which you can blast any item from you misc items at ppl. Now go pick up a bunch of sporks, yes sporks. Let the asian invasion begin!

I agree there are no chinese Ninjas but also there are no Chinese a lot of things that they mass produce crappy for. WHy not ninja stars? Plus if they're rockin the States they probably already got the Japanese and stole their Ninja Tech, so I should also be able to get numchuks and bo-staff's too!

I picked up the game a little while ago and I've been addicted to it ever since. That thing's like crack on a disk, and not that Warcraft crack, the good stuff.

I'm also happy to say I found about 12 of those bobble heads, unfortunately I can't remember where I got a few of them. I'll have to get back to you guys on where they all were.

Here's a question, what style have you guys been playing? I've made a stealthy ninja melee character, a small arms character and I just started a heavy weapons girl.

Hey, I'm trying to find the "Family" in some lame ass mission and I can't find the keys to get into the cell at the back of "Hansons Hideaway". I represented all over the scorpions and rad roaches with my .44 magnum (Booyah! Dumb ass bugs!) and I've searched all the bodies but no key for the back of the maze where the cell door is that needs the key.

Also I broke my combat shotgun. Crappy. How do you repair weapons yourself? Or do I have to keep paying that retard chick at Megaton all my hard earned caps to fix my gear? Can you fix a weapon once it's broken, or is that it? If that is the case I got about 90lbs of mini-gun I can stash on the body of the next dead roach I find.

What a dumb ass mission that "Family" one is. "They could be hiding at the wide open, plain sight ball diamond, the even less protected abandoned drive in theater, or.... and this is just a thought fella.... you might want to check the hidden under 30 feet of rock undergound bunker with running water and a self contained power source and an impenetrable jail cell door at the back. They should be at one of those three spots... but I have no idea which one they'll be at." Some of the people in this game are just retards. I think I was even more offended when I actually found super mutants at the drive in. Just kind of hanging out, waiting for "Kissing a Fool" starring TV's Jason Lee to start on the outdoor bigscreen I guess.

Even dumber are the ghouls hanging out in the underworld. I just hate talking to those assholes.

You can fix stuff yourself but you need a duplicate weapon to use for parts. And you need a high enough repair skill to get it to any good level

Yup, like Greg said. If you have a spare combat shotgun (or sawed off shotgun) you can can repair either or. Once it's broken like that though, it's better just to toss it in the garbage.. the next one you get will be way better anyway.

I think you can crack the cell with the science skill, but if it's not high enough I cant remember how to get in. I relaly cant remember if I had the key or If I busted it open... you can go to fallout site listed higher on this thread and take a quick peek.. actually, Ill do it for you that way you dont have to see the rest of the quest. I made sure everyone around was quiet until I finished the game once.. then I started talking.

You get something good at the end, but the quest was a bit goofy.. =I=censor=I= vampires. I hate vampires.. give me a werewolf anyday. I'm getting tired of all this weird ass vampire romance =I=censor=I= going around.. give me vampires like they're supposed to be.. drinking blood, ripping heads off... like Near Dark.. Sundown.. even the first Blade.. and of course Vampires with James Woods. Those are good shows.. you know, I have no reason to rant like this except for the whole Twilight thing. My niece is big time into it .. and for some reason she just cant get it through her head that the best teenage angst vampire movie around was Lost Boys. But noooooo.. she has to watch the happy kiss kiss movie about vampires who dont melt in the sunlight, but instead glow like diamond dust.. *sigh* kids these days.

It didnt say that much except you cna get the passcode from one person by talking to them or even by Vance by talking to him and passing a speech test. If that doesnt work, you can always kill Vance and get the stuff of his corpse, but then the family members will attack you, and I believe you lose karma. You can also goad Vance into attacking you by calling him a psycho.

To get the passcode without doin' the killn' you have to ask Vance about his little club and he'll tell you to find out the rules. You then have to either hack their computer system and find out the rules or talk to each Family member and they will tell you one rule each. Then go tell Vance you are done, and understand what he is doing and trying to accomplish. He will then let you go talk to the dude by giving you the passcode.

Haven't seen 'Twilight', will NEVER EVER see 'Twilight'

But where do you find the family? I went to all three places and the only place there was anything was the hideout, and that's just bugs and dead guys. The cell door won't let you pick it or smash, it says you need a key.

Go to the Northwest Seneca Station. In the middle of the station there's an old station underground, enter this one and you will be greeted by a Ghoul. He'll ask you to do him a favour, (he's obvioulsy making crystal meth)this is up to you of course. In the back of his little office/lab you'll find a hatch.

This hatch leads down to the Meresti Service Tunnel. Tere's a lot of booby traps and creatures there. After going through the cave you will enter the old train trail, then make a left at the first train wreck. After a while you'll be confronted by a guard from the family. Tell him the that you have a letter for Ian West and he'll let you in.

I havent seen Twilight .. nor will I either. I know all about it though thanks to my niece. I also know after listening to the d6 generation review that the story is almost an exact rip-off of the Sookie Stackhouse stories, that True Blood was based off of.

30 days of night had scary vampires.. good beheadings, squirting blood, etc... I just didn't like all the stupid stuff in the movie. I bet the graphic novel was better.. I hope at least.

Actually keep that broken shotgun, when you get the other one get you can still use the completely broken one to repair the new one to a higher level. The repair skill in Fallout is fantastic.

wondering if this has happened to anyone else. So i got my place at tenpenny tower and was lookin around, before i bought any of the shwag you can for your room my theiving nature got the best of me and i cleaned out the safe in that girls room. the next day she was all distraught about it, which was funny. what isnt funny however is that now she's gone and theres no one i can buy stuff for my room from. has this happened to anyone else?
