locked thread - jumping the gun?
This is in regards to the locked thread. Last night I was writing up a response to the discussion, when I finished found that it had been locked.
I find it sad that a thread for discussion, that was starting to generate good and differing opinions had to be locked because of a particular post. I do agree that there was a post that, while started fine, was way over agressive and degenerated into nonsense. Instead of coming to a complete stop in mid-flight to a discussion, can't the moderators of this site delete the problematic post (or portions of) and give the poster a warning and let the discussion continue?
I do think that this particular discusssion is important and can be done in a civilized manner. Maybe it is dead now, but like had been mentioned people are currently starting to not sign up and get disinterested in gaming because of this and therefore warrents some chance of continuation.
