Sounds like a good game all around. Yea I do the exact same thing when I deploy my stuff. It has happened to me several times now that stuff is outside of range on the first turn. Upside is that I'm rarely out with Railguns *insert maniacal laughter*.....

I still do a lot of eyeballing, it's only burned me a couple times since 6th landed. Eyeballing is much quicker. I've pre-measured when I want to make sure I'm exactly 12" away so I can double-tap yet have the soon to be charging unit roll the highest possible number to get in there.

just a final check to see if we are still on for the match taday,
i also have started to premeasure and eyeball alot more then i use to but based on my army is centered around assault heavy its kinda a must
and as for the new flyer book anything come up about my poor puppies getting any birds to chase around lol

The Tau continue to be on a streak keeping with the underdog theme. It was a fun, fast, and brutal. Dan's dice decided that low would be the way to roll all game.

Me and Tom will be playing our game tonight.. Winner to face Tom. I huess there is a chance.we can finish up by the weekend.

Chaos vs. Nec Knights.. this'll be a repeat of out previous game.. I think with fairly similar lists. Should be an interesting ine.

You're double CLR and I'm psyker bands again, I'm guessing? It will be interesting to see how much of a change the Dread Knight brings with it.

Tom is onto the next round! We had similar lists the first time around we played.. and I barely came out on top of that one so I knew it was gonna be tough battle. Tom had a night scythe and a dreadknight this time around in exchange for a squad of grey knights. Tom had my number tonight and slowly whittled away everything till I had two Cultists and 1 Plague marine left.

I did have the advantage going in, with my 11 kill points vs. his 15.. plus mine were pretty tough kill points to give up with Plague marines, land raiders, predator and heldrake. Tom has rhinos, chimera and henchmen.. surely I could get out to an early lead and hang on.

I did make one farily big mistake in the game. The Heldrake came in and was able to get a couple hull points on some vehicles with his flamer.. none were cracked yet so he didnt many targets. I left it pointed right at a rhino. So on Tom's turn, he was able to do a couple hull points damage.. one being a stunned. I failed my possession roll so he was locked at going 18" straight ahead onto a rhino.. and crashed. I was really planning on the heldrake cracking open a transport that had a hull point left, and then toasting some gribbly squads that pop out. That was the first time hes been stunned since I got him... but I really should of paid closer attention to that flyer damage chart Smile

In the end his hard hitting units did their job and I couldnt kill things quick enough to keep up. Good luck Tom vs. Tom !

Hmm.. and I guess that means we're going to have a first timer league champ crowned as well.

Ohhh... I wouldnt say it was a close game. I only had three models left and Tom stil had a schwack.

I think the total was 11 to 8 for Tom but .. Three models left Smile

I could of made a closer game of it if the heldrake didnt stun itself. But.. When all was said and done i barely started to get into the meat of the list. I needed to start collecting kills quick and even though i had lots.of medium/light armour to shoot at, the aegis line held up strong.

Saturday would indeed work for me, just so long as we are able to grab a table still. There is a Fantasy Mega Battle going on that day. I was planning on being down at the Den for that anyway.

You can also ask Darren/Al to block off a table for you, especially if you are getting there early (5-6)

Stelmech and I are grabbing a table for 10:30 AM, you can have that after we're done testing our lists. I suspect our game will be quick, even though it's 1750 points, as neither of us will have a lot of models on the board.
