So the underdog streak continues! Was a very close game. Came down to my gun drones detaching from my hammerhead and grabbing the relic. We rolled fast attack as scoring options. Night fight first turn also helped the tau a bit more than their imperial counterparts.

Thanks! Was a nail-biter of a game. It was the second time during the playoffs that the game ended on turn 5 when I needed it to, lol. Makes up for the number of 2+ saves I failed throughout the game

I will admit that both my game against you and against Tom were won on the fact that they ended on turn 5. Also I must convert a drone that won me the game versus Tom. I believe he was rather stunned for a bit when that happened. Overall I think Tau have had an excellent comeback in 6th and the addition of forge world models. A nice bit of luck when I needed it didn't hurt either!

Congrats to Tom M. (is that your last initial?) on his first league championship win. Ive updated the League Champions list to honor your esteemed accomplishment. It also looks great on a resume!
The new league will start up in a couple weeks. I'm still itching to play so I dont want to wait to long. I am going to make recoomendations for some changes to how games are set up and played to mitigate a few of things that I and other people have expressed as problems with the mission in 6th. Remember, you don't have to actually follow those guidelines, and can play things strictly from the book if wanted, but they will be a definite reccomendation.
It's also been awhile since we've been over and laid some ground rules for the bigger pieces of terrain and buildings the den has. In the past, we've used the house rule of the following:
1) You can only place objectives on the table or the first floor of a ruin. Not any higher. If you place an objective 8" up on the roof of our biggest building, it'll be alomsot impossible for a foot slogging troop to contest it.
2) You can not start higher than 6" in a building at the start of a game, unless you can infiltrate.. then you can set up anywhere.
These were just gorund rules mainly to work with some of the 12" or higher buildings we have. I think they still seem a bit applicable today, but truthfully, 6th has made it alot easier to get into your opponent's deployment zone and into higher levels of buildings quicker. I'm open to moving the 6" up or getting rid of it completly if you guys want. The objective one if the main concern though.
As well, e have to remember that every level in the game is not a flat 3" move. I know alot of people still think to move up a level, it's 3" even if in real measurement it's 6" It's always the real length for difficult terrain rolls. The rulebook uses 3" as an example becasue all gw buildings have 3" levels. We've got some buildings that have 5-6" between levels, so if you want down or up, you have to get at least a 5-6 and even then you won't be able to move any distance forward, so remember this when using these pieces or moving into them.

Do you mean that you can not start higher than 6"?
