The arms are now installed. Soon I'll get the legs locked in and the magnets mounted on the wrists. Kinda surprised how well the pistons and cables from the Helbrute shoulder and Heldrake arm generally lined up.
Also, if anyone has one of those Green Stuff cable maker moulds, I'd love to borrow one for a weekend to give it a whirl and see if I'd want to buy or not.

Getting some work done on the legs and basing now. Getting a bit of an ED-209 vibe off of it now, which for Chaos I wouldn't exactly call a bad thing.

Legs look like they need some bulk added to them.
Otherwise very cool, especially like the pose.

I got some armour applied to the thighs, which I feel helps a bit and will also extend some of the primary colour down onto the legs once it gets painted. That being said, due to the pose, it's quite difficult to slip on any armour on to the shin of the right leg, as the top knee interferes. Might need to do some rummaging through my bits bin when I get home.

About time to finally start building a biker lord and some more "regular" looking cultists now that DV 2.0 is finally out.
I'm really glad I picked up that dental tool set from Princess Auto, made that tricorn hat possible.

Whilst the rest of the Green Stuff cures, I opted to turn the other squad lead into a Heretek. Useful for Dark Heresy, if nothing else.

I had planned on waiting until I had finished painting the cultists before posting any more of them up, but then I kinda Sin City'd them.

Been a bit slow on uploading these guys. They're plenty ready for table top, but still have some room to pick out more details on them. Then again, since they're being fielded in blobs of 20, I'd say they're doing alright.
Everything thus far has just been washes (and a glaze, in the case of Bloodletter). I enjoy this method for busting out large batches of units like this, real quick and easy.

Still waiting on the tube tool to show up. Manufacturing issues, it seems.
Started painting the Helbrute in earnest whilst I wait.

Re: Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!
Christmas brought a great many "Sci-Fi Zombies" this way, of which I already had some which were slated to become a Mutant Rabble. Now that I'm staring down some 135+ "zombies", I'm going to launch into making my platoons for the Heretics and Renegades list. Stubs McGee is showing up largely to stand in for a weapons team I've yet to convert.
I also rather appreciate how half the las guns that come with the kit are in the "I'm going to club you with these" pose, and the other half in the "slung over the shoulder" posing.
It is also worth noting that the Mantic "Sci-Fi Zombie" kit is a co-ed kit, with 2/5 of the kit being female, 2/5 male, and 1/5 unidentifiable. The above photo'd squad happens to be 100% female. Just need a bit of Green Stuff, and they'll be ready to paint.

The Traitor Guard get "Enforcers" in place of "Commissars", though they seem to fill a similar role of helping with Ld issues and bringing an extra Power First to a squad. I opted to go for an old /tg/ favorite and re-created the "heresy" girl.

Doing some more work on the traitor guard. I suspect a large binge of painting is coming up soon. In the mean time, why not make autocannon teams pay some homage to the Reaper Autocannon?

Finally got around to sitting down and building a Rapier Laser Destroyer battery. It could use a little more work yet prior to priming and painting, but I think I have a good start with it. If I could get some more Taurox tread bricks, I'd love to make some Hades Autocannon ones for my CSM.

That looks really good. Nothing like and R/C car with lasers!

Lasers with a pretty good kill rate, mind you. Monoliths and Land Raiders, beware!
