So thought I'd throw up pics of my CSM army 2000 ish + points painted. Still a few things to go but anything I'd actually field is painted

you bet it is. Melting a tyranid rending claw to a staff/mace  makes for a quick good looking scythe.

I was thinking about using more or less the same process to make a scythe for a Daemon Prince using the Axe arm.

Yeah you just need a bigger claw off a carnifex or something. On a DP that'd look sick. Im still waiting for my mortarion model forgeworld! lol one day maybe though I was thinking if they made one for him would they do a post or pre Deamon Primarch Mortarion... Im hoping both! ^^

I actually have an old Demon Prince with a Scythe made from a Hive Tyrant talon+venom cannon. Looks wicked. I'll see if I can get my bro to take a picture of it (alas I still haven't been able to bring him up from the states, always at a loss how to pack him).
