So plague marines got worse cuz poison needs higher strength for rerolls. But the idea of chucking a blight grenade in before the charge and forcing your enemy down to I1 seems fairly good to me. Too bad its blast.. or it would be the ultimate"defensive grenade" for overwatch.

Even if it weren't blast, I'm not sure how "ultimate" it would be, as only one model in a unit can toss one.

not going to cause a bunch of wounds, but reducing your enemy to I 1 when your dudes are I3 is pretty snazzy.

Don't you have to cause a wound to force the test, though?

nope. 1 test if a model is hit at the end of the phase.

Since it's a blast, does that mean that only models under the blast have to test, and that the rest of the models in the unit still strike at regular sequence?

Nope, a blind attack affects the whole unit. Make an Init test, if you fail, reduced to WS/BS 1 till the end of your next turn. Pretty nasty if you're something like Orks with I2. The really funny thing is that firewarriors have blind grenades and can be hitting you on 3's in CC LAWL Very Happy

and will still lose to almost anything even with that buff lol.
