Okay. I was tossing around ideas to add some low AP shooting into a GK army I just got, and this idea came along. I know that it is flawed (Mindlock), but it would be terribly funny to play.

HQ - Coartez - 100

Troops
10 Servitors with Multi-Melta - 100
2 Jokaero - 70

10 Servitors with Multi-Melta - 100
2 Jokaero - 70

10 Servitors with Multi-Melta - 100
2 Jokaero - 70

7 Servitors with Multi-Melta - 70
2 Jokaero - 70

750 points

It is the mindlock that would kill this idea.....and the fact that it would be stupid expensive to build the list. But oh would I love to see the faces of the opponent facing down potential multi-melta shots per turn. Plus even more fun it the Jokaero added Rending and/or +12" range to the guns.....mmmm, 36" Rending Multi-meltas....lol.

I only count 20 Multi-meltas in that list. You could easily drop the excess servitors to toss everybody into Chimeras to get them into range, though.

37 and 8 monkeys?

Anyway, Melta's aren't the answer to a lot of things now. Volume of fire is important against a lot of things these days. Would be interesting to see it in action.

20 Multi-Meltas and Coteaz only comes to 500 points, and reduces the number of servitors you would have to buy. That opens up 250 points which could be put into Dreadnaughts, transports, or other such fun things. It's just a shame that the Servitors can only be baby-sat by Inquisitors and not Tech Marines as well, because then you could just have Coteaz with one squad, and a Tech Marine with each of the others.

I remember when Planes proxied an all Jokero List to try it out.

We rolled Dawn of War (5th ed) and my Orks knocked him off the table by turn 3 I think...

For the multi melta's I see you either getting out-ranged (24" is really low), or beaten in melee as you will get 1 turn of shooting before each squad folds over to whatever touches them.

To be fair, 5th Ed hosed that list really hard, as snap firing wasn't a thing, so when all the rest of my army walked on the board, none of them could shoot. Additonally, with overwatch being a thing now, 10d3 heavy flamer hits when being charged is nothing to scoff at.
