So here's what I'm figuring to bring to the mini-tourney on the 7th.  I think it meets the requirements for the night.

Seems tight. I could probably squeeze in a test match before the 7th if you'd like.

Exocrine can shoot at fliers, he'd get a S7 AP2 hit, not horrible against anything that isn't a Heldrake (Dakkajet, Night Scythe, Doom Scythe)

For a 1000 point list that is actually pretty beefy.

Lots of synapse (4 different nodes of which 3 have invul saves).

Lots of bodies - almost 60 dudes is nothing to sneeze at

Lots of MC - 3 baddies most people don't want to tangle with.

Decent chance with the individual zoes to get at least one catalyst. Wonder if it might be better to swap one zoe for a venom? That sweet 3+ cover save in area terrain for the big baddies is nom nom.

To be fair Tom your list has rather unique ways of dealing with almost anything buggy.

Between MSS and rending/shred all over the place, a lot of this isn't nearly as scary.

Luckily, my decent amount of S6 and up blasty stuff goes a long way to dealing with shrending scarabs. However, if they do get too close I'm in big trouble.

Those suckers can be hard to deal with even with str6 shooting. Being so teeny tiny has its advantages.

Although ignore them at your own peril. Lost a Riptide in a round (and Tom had wounds to spare) against the little buggers. Shred+Rend is an amazing combo.

The key to holding off scarabs is limiting base to base.
