Re: The Astronomicon Planning Thread
just fyi, we get 4000km free on the rental, and then its 0.18/km after that. i'm fairly sure we can get it done in under 4k km unless we somehow end up in vegas on the way back.

Thanks Mike and Mark for doing all the finding of vehicles and whatnot. I am with Mark that we should be find with the sedan and the insurance is indeed a no-brainer. I think you are correct on the $95 entry fee Mark for the tournament.
Clearly we also need to do a day or two of practice games with their mission sets.

Re: The Astronomicon Planning Thread
Well i wont have all the models i need for awhile though i suppose i could proxy, just lemme know when you guys are down to try out a few scenarios
Also thanks Mike and Mark for arranging/looking into those things, both sounds right on the money to me.
Getting excited guys. Put together a wave serpent with scatterlasers, star engines (from the fireprism kit) and holofields
Soon the painting will commence! Though i should probably finish the test guardian first to make sure the color scheme/technique i had planned out works.

Edmonton route is less stressful as its divided highway a good portion of the way. I'm ok with either. I'll probably do a majority of the driving unless someone else wants it.
My longest stint is driving from Saskatoon to Canora ontario in one day. (and one tank of fuel, i'll miss that car)

I don't mind taking a driving shift if you get tired.

One tank.. Yowza!
Yeah.. That makes.sense now on the edmonton route. My friend lived in vancouver for about five years and would come home.occasionally for weekend trips. She'd do it.non stop in one trip and always take the edmonton route.
Ive got no personal experience though.. Im a turn a one day trip into 3 kinda guy..
Goodn luck though guys.. Sounds like a ton o fun.

IA units allowed at Astronimcon?
under warlord traits, they list this tidbit :
but nowhere else does it list what is and isnt allowed for play.
If IA is allowed, then i have a completly different list in mind.

Click on the tournament rules tab on the top of the page, scroll down. Those books listed are allowed. http://www.astronomi-con.com/ So yes looks like most IA is allowed.

Looks like they are even allowing experimental rules, as they provided a link to the FW page.

Re: The Astronomicon Planning Thread
Shiney. Tom if you are interested that would potentially make 6 of us. We could do that in a van or 2 cars.
