You probably should get a few more games in before you drop $15 on a tournament. We'll get you there. My recommendation would be to block off a day every week (like Sunday), get a game in, then learn from each game. Take notes and listen to our veteran advice.

I could run 750 points of Necrons beside yours easily enough. Just need to know what you're bringing along so I can fit the tourney FoC and supplement your force as well as I can. I've played Necrons lots, so I should be able to help you along with any rough patches, as well.

After I signed off my final comment I guess I stirred the pot enough to keep the discussion going for a while.

I want to say (publicly) to Beau:

It is not your fault that the rules are flawed. I happen to be on the losing end of flawed rules but otherwise, I am sure the event will be super fun. You have always run events well and I am sure this one will be no different. If yourself or anyone else has felt that running events is thankless, you are probably right.

I have been meaning to make a tournament for some time now but something always gets in my way. The last one was Tooncon last year where I had a good time. Most recently, I had to work OT and the one before that, I procrastinated in finding a team. I was disappointed in my lack of options for this one.

I may be willing to help out in some way, should you have not already lined up help.

As far as painting, I doubt my Orks will ever get painted.

No, your response did not bother me in the least. One other post sort of annoyed me but whatever.

I'd ask if anyone wants to team up with unpainted Orks (well, 20% painted or so) but I am such a cheapskate. ^^

Man these 750 lists are tough.. but adding in a double force org is neat, it makes list building a massive effort.

Chaos is really hard to get done.. mainly because every elite option is unavilable.. so being able to take a second good FA or Heavy is really difficult to get to.
