*Laugh* I can see how that would be scary for you Paz. Don't worry though, no matter how the scenario goes, you will find playing Daemons fun. I promise. ^_^

I was kinda advocating for a 3-way, but I guess a lotta people might find that a bit too much of a .. uh..
Hmm, I can't think of a non-profane way to describe it... how about 'cluster....fudge...' yeah that works... *innocent whistle*

3-way 40k games always end in disaster. always. 2 vs. 1 is the end.

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
I think having a game where one board affects the other is great, however it is not something that will necessarily work at the den as they have a limited amount of store open time, and from playing alot of apoc at the den I can say that 7500pts a side games + Setup and cleanup, generally take 6 hours if there's any hope of finishing 5 turns (that's generous even) Now add in the fact that our main baddies are hordes... NIDS and ORKS, so ya I can safely say that adding in something that will affect across both games might not be a viable thing without somewhere we could play a 12 hour game. I'd say slap Paz and tyson on the secondary board, dark eldar with eldar demons with orks, call it a day play two side by side apoc games everyone bring some booze in a coffee cup to give to me and we'll all have a great time

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
I like the idea of two linked games in concept, but I think it would be too difficult to pull off given the scale of the games we're suggesting. I'm more for two different games that are side by side each other,

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
Just curious, is the day of this thing Feb 5th? Cause I doubt I'd be able to make it there in time, what with work and all being in PA Or is that a little typo?

Don't have time for a proper update sadly, but yes Spamus, its a typo. Supposed to be February 6th.

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
Geeze, way to interupt me mid post.
Short story? We're not? *Hopeful eyes for everyone who isn't playing nids.* In all seriousness, I'll leave it up to you. I personally thought it was overcosted before, but the new version makes it pretty much the most broken superheavy in the game. Keep in mind, this is for fun.
And on both a good and a bad note, I've just been informed by my sister that there is going to be a massive family event taking place on the weekend in question. This is good for both Randy and Stash, and hopefully doesn't cause any scheduling conflicts with anyone else. *Is peeved at his family.*
Expect an update next monday, containing all of the details in regards to how the event will play out. Till then, ta.
Obvious edit: I suppose I should have mentioned this, but the family event will be postponing it until two weeks hense (Feb 20th). I really do appologize for this, but, family first. =/

No problems with the new date here. If anything I stand a better chance at getting it off.

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
I'm good with whenever.
As to the Bio-Titan, I'd be okay facing the one from the original apoc rulebook (Not sure what exactly the new rules change, but I hear they're prety powerful.). Sure it's 2&1/2 baneblades in price, but... 16 str 10 ap3 shots(BS3), 8 melee attacks(WS6, S10), 10 wounds(T9), and regenerate.. It's one hell of a monster, even without all the extras.

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
If the Nids v Empire game is being moved to Feb 20th, do the other players involved still want to hold a game on the 6th? (Eldar, Orks, Chaos)
Cushak, your Tau can probably join the Eldar side. So who would still be interested for a game Feb 6th? Please post, if we get 4-6 we should be able to have a fun game,

I am good for either the 5th or the 20th. Either one works for me.

Re: Large scale apocolypse game
I mentioned in the other apoc thread, but foolishly forgot to do so here:
Due to work, family obligations, and the fact that I've been ill for the better part of the last month, I'm not going to be able to run this anywhere in the near future. In the meantime, I direct you to the upcomming events thing where canadin has an apoc thing planned.
