Kill Team Tourney

I suppose a person could take a cheap riptide. But it wouldn't have FnP or much else. Might not be that great.

On this its just points. If you fits, you sits. I can't really see anything that's gonna break anything, although if anyone brings Wraiths I'm just gonna lock the door and let the other guys have 10 minutes with you.

I don't know, a strength 8 AP 2 pie plate could wipe a whole squad off the board turn 1. Yikes.

Word on the street is there is a kill teams tournament on Friday. How sticky is the "All miniatures must be painted" rule?

I might be able to throw down if there is still a spot left? I am a little fuzzy on the new rules thought...

Except everyone's independent. If you've got all your guys that close to each other, you're doing it wrong. A riptide can only kill a model a turn. God help it if it gets into assault with anything WS5.

Yup the second half of that comedic duo. I'll throw down with some necrons in a unique singular grey colour scheme, they may or may not have tester's glue strings spread liberally throughout.

A person could bring 5 lychguard and 2 wraiths, that'd be pretty cool. Or just 5 wraiths. :-P

They match up badly against me (and I matchup badly against volume). My Transport kills a wraith a turn. T5 3++

Yours does. Given the limits, what else can? You either need stupid high volume Str 5-9 (like enough to generate ~6 hits), or S10 that generates ~3+ hits. Also, odds of keeping range on said wraiths for 5 turns:)

the shear efficiency of wraiths is the kicker. dont know where i would buy Beast move 18 point str6t5 3++ wounds in any other way.

closest thing i can think of is hounds and they are still 10 points for beast move str/tgh4 5++ wounds.

at least within the necron codex, they are kind of out on their own without support. in kill team? just take 5 and call it a day haha

Thanks again Beau for organizing yesterday, fun had by all.

I was reading my codex this morning (for the first time) and I played my standard orc boy with base 3 attacks instead of base 2, the nobs have 3 but not the boyz. I suspect this may have impacted the games I played so apologies for that. Throw the tournament pot into the 40k league pot.

No worries. My personal feeling is it's the difference between overkill by 1 and overkill by 2, but up to you.

Hoping on running this or a Combat Patrol sometime soon.
