1500 point tourney?

Hey, what are people's thoughts on a 'battle-forged' with no super heavies/gargantuan 1500 point event?

8-16 players on some sort of Saturday?

I could probably do that.

I'm down although I'm actually more curious about Community Comp than keeping it battleforged etc.

Come on, Paz you don't need to lower yourself to that level. Why don't you sell your prints instead? Seems more dignified to me.

I agree with Beau that the Community Comp idea could be more balanced than restricting "battle-forged"... But which ever.

The more notice the better, i'd have to arrange a baby sitter if its a saturday the girlfriend works....

Sounds like fun. Comp would work better, I agree; battle-forged hardly restricts all that much anymore now with all the 7th Ed books. Heck, my stuff is meaner if I stay battle forged instead of going unbound and just tossing a bunch of painted stuff on the table.

*peeks over from the infinity forums* Whats this!? A tournament? If you need another warm body I would gladly come out to have a good time. No idea about anything new that has been going on and haven't played in a while. But would be a good excuse to use the models before the wife wants to get rid of them from "inactivity".

Also not to jack the thread or anything but just a reminder that we are trying to get a 40k night going on Thursdays! (which may change depending on how busy warmachine/hordes gets since thursday is technically their night) but if we can get a big enough following that shows up consistently maybe we can make them change their day lol. Come on out and bring your models! Just show up and have a list already made and see who else is there.

I was there last Thursday and no one was there except a couple of new guys. I told them about the 40k night and they were excited to hear! They also have some friends who also play 40k but only really amongst themselves and I told them to pass the message along as well. So it sounds like we'll have atleast a couple new players (i also mentioned the hunters forum to them they seemed to know about it but they aren't on it).

If/once space becomes a concern we'll discuss it as it comes up.

Keep us updated as to when we can sign up for said tournament!!! I hope to see you guys on thursday!
