TOONCON 2014

Alright well it seems i have decide to take on tooncon for this year, and as i have never done a turny before this is going to be a brain spinner lol. So plz keep that in mind and i hope i do you guys proud lol, well here we go:


-1850 points
-we will be playing 3 rounds
-no lords of war or imperial knights
-single detachment with access to standard allied chart and fortifications
-forge world models are allowed but most have rules on hand for opponent to see
-no 30k
-all special rules and wargear (ex. flesh is week-vaylund cal;fw) must be visiable on models
-army must be as close as possible to wysiwyg and 3 color min, i will count black, white, or grey as a color if its part of the main color scheme--black templars for example
-warlord traits well be chosen during creation of the army and noted on the roster, psychic powers will be rolled for at the beginning of each round
-no first blood
-16 people max
-$30 entry fee

Ok there ya go, thats the basic layout im going to be running. i will be posting the missions in about a month as i have yet to figure what im doing for that. again plz keep in mind this is my first go at this so expect a mistake or 2 lol otherwise hope to see you on the field of battle and may your aim be true!!!!

I can help you with the missions and getting everything formatted and typed out.

Does the 30$ cover only the 40k portion or does that cover entry into Tooncon and well? They might be charging something above that as well.

Did you get a chance to talk to Al?

I got the mission made up/picked out I just wish to try a few so see how fast they will play, as for fee ya I talked with al and he said 10 goes to entrance the rest will be for the prize pool. If your free tuesday or wednesday this week I could swing a game otherwise it would have to wait till after the 28

Can you take dataslates/formations?

I believe you are limited to a single CAD, plus an optional single allied detachment and/or a single fortification (Dan: you didn't say anything specific about forts, but from the way you were going, I'd assume no networked forts) I gather formations are out, dataslates, not sure.

Sorry ya no formations/dataslates and as for fortifications im only allowing the basic ones like aegis lines, bastons and so forth

Experimental rules allowed?

For this go around im going to say no cause im not sure if anyone from out of town is coming, and I hope everyone noticed that our games will be played on sunday this year not saturday

At the very least, once you know what missions you're running I can get them formatted onto a template. Score sheets, paint sheets, or a spreadsheet to use day of, I can help you wherever. Let me know!

Is there a sign up sheet for the toon con event? For the 40k chunk of it I mean?

I'd be there, but work scheduled a function I was "volun-told" to be at.

I'll be in Calgary that weekend unfortunatly.

We've got camps that weekend, so I can't make it. (I'm stuck w\ the twins, don't want to unleash them upon the 'con)
