2nd in the series of overviews, a brief intro to the armies of infinity.

PANOCEANIA: PROSPEROUS AND DOMINANT

PanO is a combination of multiple countries on earth, and is the largest and most powerful Human faction. most oceanic countries make up PanO (obvee) such as australia, africa, brazil and the Philippines, India, and some European countries as well (since Infinity is made in spain, this is the base area).
PanO is a melting pot of cultures, and sees itself as the westernized Ideal of demogracy and capitalism. The PanO military is broken up based on a couple of factors: geography(planet), religion, and political affiliation:

Acontecimento: An industrialist world within the PanO borders, this is a heaviloy brazillian themed force: The Shock Army, horde troops and big ol TAGs.

Svalarheim: Northern European forces from this world, Tags, swiss guard. Expensive and insanely powerful units.

Neoterra: 'New Earth', this is the seat of the PanO "empire". Lots of tech, really good guns, this is the mainstay of the PanO military.

Military Orders: The Catholic faith has a huge foothold in the PanO worldscape. huuuge. The military orders are the militant subsections of the church, obviously modelled on ancient Knightly orders of the middle ages.

Why play PanO?
Guns.
Really.
Big.
Guns.
And heavy infantry/tags of all flavors.
camo dudes got you down? multispectral visor 3.
hate troops running away? buckets of religious models
want to be a dick? tag with TO camo. yeah, you heard me...

In all seriousness they are the shooting force of infinity, they have some close combat adept units but they aren't as dedicated nor good as those from other forces (stupid monofiliment ninjas...)

i'm looking at a PanO force again, and seeing alot of new models; what would you suggest as a good selection to purchase with a goal in mind of around...19 infantry models and 4 tags? (or 21/2; have a display base in mind, ergo the specific model count)

i like the looks of the Dragoes TAG, and even the Jotum looks interesting. the Military Orders starter kit was what caught my eye last year, but now i see more that i like: knights of montesa look cool, crusader brethren, knights of santiago, and now these neoterran bolts, and the neoteran capitaline army set; both of which look really cool.

for someone new to the whole game system, what would you suggest would be a good initial purchase to work on, and what to build up the collection with? asking this, i think the models alone would make me cave and buy 1 set each of the Military Order, neoterren Bolts, and Neoterran Capitaline Army. they're just too cool to pass up.

And thats a reeeeaaallly powerful shooty fireteam/hacking/cloaker list.

gross.


You dont need to play the capitaline army, as bolts have a 3 AVA in vanilla PanO, so you have lots of options for multiple lists.

Hey Paz, just curious about the Neoterran army there. What's the purpose of the mulebots? Wouln't it be better to fill it out with additional bolts? (therefore only requiring the starter set and the bolts set). I only ask because i was looking at that as a cheap first investment into infinity.

well you could, but the mulebots fulfill a specific benefit I find. The 360 reaction bot is a great defensive unit, and the evo repeater makes your okay hacker insanely good.

Also, the bolts would be in a linkteam, which is max 5 (though of course you dont need to link anything).

you can make a 300 pt force just with bolts and the starter:
