remember servants don't give extra orders. they are cheap because they are extensions of their controller. when the controller activates he can chose to have one of his servants activate as well. still 8 points to allow your doctor/engineer to be useful almost everywhere in the map is pretty boss.

The biggest thing to know about infinity is that engineers/specialists are super important for missions. A straight up death match for infinity is fun, but gets pretty boring after a while.
The missions make it insanely fun. Your guys are basically dodging through streets, getting covering fire and avoiding mines and shit, trying to gather tech from objectives, but only specialist troops can do this (much like troops in 40k) except they have to "activate" objectives, which takes rolls.
I remember a game between Ian and I where I was slowly crawling a TO cloaked unit up a bridge to the top of this tower, constantly attempting to take out his guns trained at the objective (as soon as my hacker uncloaked, he would blast her face off the planet). Some intense stuff.

The goal for me is to eventually run a campaign from the paradiso book. So many cool missions that change depending on who wins and who loses. Missions are really what Infinity is all about.

I'm having trouble even getting some people together for a demo game. Last time I played was against Ben a few weeks ago. If I had the interest I would host a league but people need to actually play.

What kind of commitment would a league be required to have? I know I would probably come play, but it would need to be on day's I'm actually able to do so, and that flux's from week to week.

Perhaps we could create a section of the forums here to be able to plan/report league games? Though that would be up to the moderators, and would require infinity people to moderate them.... I dunno.
As I understand there is a facebook group set up, but I know I will never join it as it's.... well..... facebook.

Robyn offered to setup a sub-forum. If we can get that setup with it's own announcements, general, news, and thunderdome groupings, that should give us a good start. I'm willing to moderate but it's up to Robyn to create.

@Tom: That is a new Tohaa unit set for release alongside the new expansion: Acheron Falls, which should be released sometime after 3rd edition comes out this fall/winter. They are supposed to bring a new USR to the game as well called ambush. No idea how it's going to work though.

I *might* be free Sunday, but won't know until later when I can check the boss's schedule.
