i like the old ones... they were just ment to be brutes under the control of the tyrant not ninjas. gotta say i love the big one with the maw of doom. the claws on it are crazy!

Pics are also starting to leak of new hive fleet colours and such. Hive Fleet Harbinger looks kinda nifty, if perhaps a touch annoying to do.

Interesting....

Spent the last 15 mins reading up on 'Nids. Have to wait for the codex to drop to see what happens. Although if the rumors are right and Swarmlord loses out on BRB powers  Sad . That could mess with how I use him hard. Although if he got EW it wouldn't be such a bad trade off.

I am really interested with all of this and perhaps will try to save some cash-o-la from xmas to splurge and grow "The Swarm!"  Razz

I just had a brief thought how many bugs I have. And all I can think is how I want the new ones...
I just pray that they aren't crazy broken and also not a 5.1ed codex...

Codex Creep so far has been fairly consistant. can't really see the codex being a bust.
only hope that they give nids some fresh new ways to hit melee. its hard being a melee oriented army in a shooting world. Knife to a gun fight and all that.

I'm sure that you are going to get screwed over by not having biomancy though. most of those mentioned psychic powers look like shooting attacks of one for or another. so passing around FNP or getting iron arm and smashing things is probably a thing of the past.

From what I saw for codex powers, from /tg/, was Catalyst was going to FPN the caster & squad, plus an external target. If that is the case, this implies casters imbedded in squads. Currently, only Zoanthropes, broodlords, and Tyrants with guard would benefit from that, so maybe we'll see more attached psykers, either innately or as ICs.

Well the big thing with Iron Arm was Eternal Warrior. In a world of reducing toughness and str10, not to mention the silly amount of instant death/force weapons there is that risk that anything without EW is going to go splat after one wound. Even worse is that he doesn't have an invul save outside of melee.

edit: Also there was the rumor that Warriors would be able to jump into gaunt units. So perhaps that is the first step in being able to mix squads of bugs.
