Well i figured i would throw some of my work up. Heres some group shots of my 3 armies to start

ya, it chopped em off when i made them bigger...everything else will be close ups now though. Apparently i wasnt ready to start on my marines again as i dusted this guy off and threw some colors on him

thats some pretty nice colour. i like the leather look.

came free with my subscription to white dwarf awhile back...hadnt got past primed until a few days though oddly enough...i am thinking about doing the whole allies thing though so kinda a nice coincidence

my new project...they started life as Macragge starter set marines and hopefully they will end custom assault marines

Nice work. To give some creative criticism i would probably gone a little darker on the grey highlight.

little update, ive been building an abaddon conversion from the termy lord box... oddly enough the best result ive got on the bolters on the guantlet have been with bolt pistols...im lookin for some feedback on said part. obviously its just fun tacked on so its going to sit flusher without that.

I didn't realize that he had a power weapon though, I just thought he had the lightning claws

Matthew- Abbadon has Horus' gauntlet on his right arm, and the daemon sword Drach'n'yen on his left.

very cool Matt. What sword are you using for drach'n'yen? Also, for his pose, I would have the claw down to the side, slightly open, in a 'bring it' kinda pose.

im going to use that sword and just try to sculp the daemon wep overtop of it...ive got another claw that i chopped up to be kinda in that pose actually. ill slap it on and throw a pic up

As it appears everyone else has broken fingers/saskatoon is out of paintbrushs...Its update time!! First up is my assault/vanguard

Next up is my demon prince/greater demon/archaon. Im not entirely happy with the base but think its ok for a first attempt at lava. Was also the first time I tried a new armour painting technique with inks over metallics, which im pretty happy with. On a related note I noticed a major drop in his gayness factor when I moved him from a square to round base.

sweet base dude, I like the lava effect. It seems a bit shiny though, did you use some kind of sealant?

If its the shiny rocks you mean I wanted to make them look like obsidian. Im still deciding if I want to put a red wash on to tone down the white and blend things a bit more.

No the base is finished, it looks better in person I think. Might have been too sunny out that day if there is such a thing. I was really hoping my square base insult would bring out a certain fantasy troll, but to no avail.
