So since I got my codex earlier this week I have been tossing around ideas for a Black Templars list. Right now with the way I'd like to run them I don't see there being an obvious competitive build. Some of that boils down to me not having any newer models since the last time I bought stuff for them was quite a while ago. I am also reluctant to buy stuff for them since I currently consider them to be one of the weaker, if not weakest, in the new codex. Their chapter tactics have no benefit to any of the new cool stuff and is very situational. Hopefully they will get a bitchin' supplement. 

With that being said I did write up a fluffy list that I will be playing with for the next while if I can ever find time to get some games in.

The biggest thing with this list is scoring bodies. I only have two small units to hold back/mid-field objectives (the scouts are fairly un-fluffy but I could not find anything else I wanted to take for 60 points). The techmarines join up with the walking squad and with careful spacing should help shield them against things like helldrakes/battlecannons. Especially since that chapter master does not have eternal warrior. I am considering switching up his wargear a bit and trading the storm shield for a bike so he can tank str8/9 for the squad. Or something. Again not a really competitive list, but would be fun. Still a bit light on neophytes though. Although it is my b-day next week so perhaps there will be a den shopping spree or something, lol.

I'm debating what I want to bring. It'll be something Black Templary, but probably not this. I still think that T-sons in Rhinos can be good. They are fast, don't care about all the ignores covers stuff that is around now and are scoring. With the right support elements from the rest of the chaos list anyways.

I still have 85 points to spend and cannot figure it out for the life of me. I've been considering a) scouts with sniper rifles and camo cloaks b) Assault squad(possible vanguard vets) c) Predator with lascannons d) techmarine for the walking crusader squad. For b&c I have to free up a bit of points though (for c the only predator I have is the tri-lascannon one). There isn't a whole lot I want to drop though. The rhino for the tac squad makes them half-way mobile and might shield them from a hellturkey attack for a turn. I'd swap more lascannons to the Devastator squad but only own 2 (doh!). I suppose I could bring an aegis line... blah.

5 marines with a plasma gun is 85 points. They could walk up with the walking squad. I would probably go imperial fist with them for bolter drill.
