Hunters of the Warp Circuit Challenge #1
That;s right, you heard things right. For the first time in what.. 4 years we've got a Hunters challenge.
With the introduction of the circuit scoring system we can now do some of these small challenges from tiem to time to earn yourself some needed circuit points.
The first one is going to be.. Build and paint an HQ.
There will be points for best painted, best converted, and of course, best overall. So, look at your armies, figure out what you need, and get to work! WHen I say HQ, it can be a single HQ model, a retinue, an individual mini from an HQ, whatever you want. As long as it follows the HQ theme your good to go. The community will vote for the winners.
I'll create a new thread in the blogs section for the competition shortly, and everyone can get to work.
Points will be appoximatley be as follows:
5 - Submitting a fully painted entry (must be something you started new, so make sure you take a pictures of your progress as you go)
5 - Best painted
5 - Best conversion
10 - Best overall
Any questions post them here.

Re: Hunters of the Warp Circuit Challenge #1
Ive had a few questions about this.
Sorry guys, but Id like for it to be a competition from start to finish so we can see our progress over the four weeks.
Ive got a few guys as well that are 50% complete id like to finish off (Im looking at you Jugger Lord) but I want to see these competetions as a start from nothing to finish project.
We will definitely have a "Finish that fricking model youve been working on forever" one as well.
If you want to participate in spirit, and work on a partially completed model and join in but not collect circuit points.. that's of course a-ok.

Hmm... You could strip the paint, and tear the arms off..... Then re-model it....That might appease the System Commander =PDaemonkin wrote:Got one I finished a couple weeks ago and just found out about this competition, can I still submit?

Damn, that's a bit too bad, my Tau Commander WIP is totally bitchin'!
However, I do have a Fireblade I could do....not quite the same panache, but oh well.

Do we need pictures of the original sprews? I went out and bought everything I needed yesterday and spent all day today putting Farsight's torso together and the thought just occurred to me now that you may have wanted a start picture. I still have the receipt if anybody needs convincing I started today .

Tom.. thats cool. I wont be that stringent. If its already modelled.. but no paint.. ill take it.
Tyson, thats fine.
I just didnt want people to finish a model that was almost done. I want to see some progress threads on the go, thats all.

Fair enough. I just bought a bunch of stuff (and the stuff I got from Mike) and really didn't want to have to buy something else to enter.

I just took a picture every colour or so to show progress. I guess if it is more heavily converted then some construction could be added as well. I just chose a head and then added shoulder pads until he was covered in them.Roland wrote:I think Adams warboss thread is more or less what you're going for, mo?

I am dreading trying to finish my model. So many little details that I just don't know what to do with. That and I mistakenly told Cheryl I'd do house chores this weekend... ruh ro.
