ToonCon 40k Tournament

Sat, Sept 21st, 9:30am-7pm.

3 games/2000 pts

Double FOC allowed. Imperial Armor is allowed, with the exception of "Experimental" units and 30k/Horus Heresy. All current GW codexs, codex supplements, and Forge World books other than those mentioned, are allowed.

16 slots available,

Missions would be similar to the Book Missions. Battle points on a sliding scale (17/3 for 6+ more VP than your opponent, 13/7 for 3+ more VP than your opponent, 11/9 for more VP than your opponent, 10/10 for equal VP). Primary Obj only. Secondaries are bonus Battlepoints. (Total 20 points possible per game.)

Painting as standard (40 pts). Miniatures *MUST* have a 3 color minimum.

Voting for Best Painted and Fav opponent.

Sportsmanship will not be scored. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.

Prizes will include Best Overall, Best General, Best Painted, and Fav Opponent. I'd like to expand that to Top 3 overall.

No word on prize support yet.

Only wimps like Dallas use DFoC.

I was writing a list of all the things I wanted to take in double force org... it came out to over 3000 points! I'm back down to a single force org. You guys are lucky I don't feel like painting more Annihilation Barges! (6 Ani-Barges and 4 Surf Board Lords is only 1260 points ..... add 4x5xWarriors in Ghost Arks and thats 1980... 20pts to put a cube on a lord or something)

If its like last year, you'd just sign up for "Large Miniatures Game-$20" I'll get some direction on that pronto

I registered but when you go through the game list WH40K doesn't exist. I just left it all blank and paid the large miniatures Game cost.

Dont worry.. theyll add 40k to the events 3 days before the event.

Just so i understand. secondary objectives(slay, linebreaker, etc) wont affect wins/losses. only add to total Battle points earned for the tourney?

My new list is super janky (no scatter deep striking deathstar OF DOOM)... but no, beavers, guides, band, and Sara not home == me no come (tried to get a babysitter, but it's too much stuff)

What does the schedule look like for that day? When does the last round start approx?

We're 9:30-7, so 9.5 hrs. I'm thinking 15 min to get rolling, 30 min for lunch, and 30 min to handle awards and break everything down.

9:30-9:45 setup
9:45-12:30 Game 1
12:30-1:00 lunch break
1:00- 3:45 Game 2
3:45-6:30- Game 3
6:30- 7:00 Awards

Just signed up. Kind of excited to bring the ultramarines out.

Uhg I might have to either concede last round, play an insanely fast game, or just not go (not really the option I want to choose).

What time do you need to be out by? Our game went 2:15
