Wanting to start up again

Last time I player warhammer 40k sisters of battle had just come out. I have a chaos army at home somewhere but debating starting fresh with DA, BA, or GK

I don't know the big differences of the three though

DA and GK are both sitting in good spots right now, with DA having just gotten a 6th Ed codex, and GK being GK. I am not sure where BA is sitting right now.

DA currently is the only 6th edition codex. They are slightly more specialized Space Marines especially fond of beating up chaos, or using terminator units or bikers.

Grey Knights is all about more specialized Space Marines with the option of including forces of the Inquisition. A small forewarning some people might accuse you of joining the "bandwagon" although most people have put it behind them.

Blood Angles are probably the worst off right now with their codex starting to show its age. They can still do some cool lists but in an edition of shooting their melee abilities are tougher to use.

Obviously a incredibly broad overview, but my 2 cents as it were since I play none of them.

In rough power order: GK-->DA------------------>BA

DA are slightly better than Spess Muhreens in my opinion, GK is still a top teir codex.

BA took a significant hit in 6th, with their 2 main builds, Razorspam and Descent of Angels, both being nerfed. I'd imagine all those multi LR lists would be decent now.

Starting fresh, DA is probably the easiest, DV is a decent force to start out with, 2 of them actually makes a decent army.

Sure is, I have a chaos army at home some place lol was kinda chocked when chaos took some heavy hits last time I played not to found of wanting to go back into chaos I do love abbaddon though

Space marines are supposed to be next down the chute so not a bad time to start them.

I still love chaos though.

Orks and 'Nids are both rumored as being one before and one after regular marines. Although if they keep up the release schedule they might be able to do both since marines is going to be xmas.

Yes. The primary advantages for BA, were cheap razorbacks and accurate full reserve. With the changes to transport, vehicles overall, and no full reserve... They are much worse off than before.

I'm Mark, I play almost all the things now, apparently...

(CSM, Daemons, Dark Angels (Thiessen's Army), Eldar, Ultramarines ("The Kid's" Army), Orks, and Necrons) All of those at 1750 pts or better.

Blood Angels still get Feel no Pain spam and fast vehicles on Predators and Demolishers. They don't have it as bad as Space Wolves at least.

I think feel no pain isn't as good since it so easy to snipe models out with either precision shots or wound allocation. Fast vehicles are still boss though.
