Tzeentch Chariot

It would appear there is some internet hubbub that the chariot with a flamer cannot fire his templates if it moves since they are heavy weapons and he does not have the relentless rule (since he counts as a passenger). Anyone with the codex confirm?

He can't, rules as written. It's heavy, and he's a passenger. I imagine they'll FAQ it, being it moves and fires in the battle report.

It's not horrible if they don't. Being that it's Tzeentchy, if you turbo boost it on from reserves, you can get. 4++ Save, re-rolling 1's, then sit and shoot.

Threat range on a Torrent Flamer is 18" or so (12" plus the big part of the flamer starts at about 6").

It would get Wall of Death with its S5 AP3 flamer, at least. I'm confident they'll FAQ it so the rider is relentless or the weapons are assault.

Another small plus, is the Chariot is a Daemon of Tzeentch too, so it still gets its 5++ re-roll 1's (40% chance) save.

is it just me or are tacticals on foot taking a shit kicking this edition? torrent baleflamers. torrent tzeench flamerson chariots etc. ap3 is the new hotness.

But you can just put them in a Rhino to protect them....

Oh yeah, nevermind.

Ive been avoiding taking guys on foot just for that reason.. Nowhere to hide these days except in a land raider.
