So...your "tight" Necron list ignores the best options in the book? No Wraith's, Scythes or Voltaic Staves?

I'm going to go on the record as agreeing with Mike Voth. 3 troop choices is a bit light also. No sir, I don't like it.

Wraiths don't always perform for me. I like the dynamic of the Praetorians, T5 with Reanimation is nice. I thought about dropping two barges for a Doom Scythe or taking an MSU unit of dudes in a Night Scythe, but...

3 Annihilation Barges. That's a whole lot of shooty. The Ghost Arks are also fairly killy as well. The court should lay some beats too, and with higher point values, Imotekh usually gets some gravy.

Small change, I dropped a Destro Tek for a Plain Lord. (thar's method to mah madness)

Static Sticks, while spiffy, really hurt from their short range. That being said, a lone stormtek charging your armor will certainly grab some agro.

5 Stormtek's in a ghost ark is pretty cool. Although you can't turbo-boost on turn one, as you have to get in the thing :-P

Not liking the lack of flyers. Only two guys I know play any significant anti flyer.(i'm looking at you under costed fw dreads) Just seems like a wasted chance to dominate.

Just left the century box. Was one dude there playing with 4 night scythe his chaos opponent lost both of his units of flak havoc before they could shoot thier guns at anything usefull:-(

i will use that one major advantage DA have at the moment until they pry it from my cold dead hands....

Yes I agree, they are crazy stupid cheap. I expect them to be HS in the new dex, and if they keep SF/Int, to cost more. (150-175 range?)

Forgefiends or Heldrakes would be the answer to those. 8 S8 vs AV11 and S7 auto-hits vs AV11. Havocs with Flakk are too expensive. Havocs with 4 Autocannons are better, and more versatile.

3 Annihilation Barges puts out a lot of firepower and are pretty good anti-flyer themselves, especially with AV13 and a jink save that's aided by Imotek's Nightfight.

Yea the Sentry box is pretty rad. Thought they'd have more table space though. For the amount of square footage they have.

Being 100% honest. Been a lot of places. The den has the most table space, esp. For a place that doesn't charge (a lot of places I know charge $5 for 2-3 hrs)

If you only want 4 stormteks in the ark, you can have them in there with 5 warriors a la DFOC.

Two storm teks in an Ark get a very respectable 8 S5 haywire shots within 12" I would call that "Anti-Flyer" but Necrons don't really need the help there.

Chaos Anti Air is all about Heldrakes and Forgefiends IMO. Or allying in Necrons, but that's a cop-out.

I honestly don't see how Heldrakes are anti-air. Vector strike will what, take half a hull point off a flier? And 4 BS3 str8 AP4 shots will what, take off another one? Colour me not impressed. Anti-air for Chaos is allies, and the same quad gun any other army can take.

The nice thing about heldrakes is that they cn do it while doing other stuff.

As for forgefiends, the BS doesn't matter and you can always pop daemon engine.

I think I said it somewhere, but havocs with 4 auto cannons might be the way to go for anti flyer.
