Vehicles no longer immune to "Gets Hot"
Vehicles, if they roll a "1" to hit with a Gets Hot weapon, suffer a glancing hit on a roll of 1-3.

Would you risk the 8% chance to lose a hull-point whenever you fire? Tough Call, depends if the points change I guess.
Apparently, in the new dex, they get an option for a twin-linked multi-melta. That'd be kinda cool (but no blasty blast).

Re: Vehicles no longer immune to "Gets Hot"
plasma cannons still worth it.s AP2 more important than ever with power weapon nerfs. 36 inch range. Just far enough. Besides, str 7 blast @ full strength no matter where it touches the hull is more than heavy enough to glance rhinos to death.
I've decimated way too many units with massed plasma, the look on a marine player's face when you drop three templates on his newly DS or disembarked termies is right close to priceless.
My Dreads will still be packing.
still makes me sad.

True, but the Leman Russ Exterminator is pretty scary to shoot with now. I don't think it's worth the risk especially with the much cheaper Demolisher.

Note the executioner cannon doesn't actually have "gets hot" as when the codex was written, there was no need for that rule to exist. Only the sponson plasma cannons would get hot if you took them. I was all giddy about John's executioner one day destroying itself until he pointed this tidbit out to me.

I like the change to plasma especially with the buff of the whole template being full strength vs vehicles. Fire prisms got better (bout time soemthing good happened for the space elves)
