1. Anrakyr 165, Barge with Tesla +80

1. 5xPraetorians with Void Blades & Casters = 200 (Destroyer Lord joins)

Troops ---

1. 10xImmortals with Tesla = 170 (Upgraded to Eternals, joined by Lord)
2. 10xImmortals with Guass = 170 (Cryptek w\ Pulse & Gaze)

Troops Total = 340

Fast Attack ---
1. 8x Scarabs = 120

Heavy ---
1. Annihilation Barge (guass) = 90
2. Annihilation Barge (guass) = 90
3. Annihilation Barge (guass) = 90

Heavy Total = 270

Notes:

The upgraded Immortals march up the table with the Lord. Their Furious Charge and Counter Assault make them usable as if they were really tough Ork Boyz (albeit, with less attacks). This is a unit that I'd use to take a midfield objective.

The other unit of immortals hangs back and takes a back field objective, or camps one particular spot on the field, shooting it's S5 AP4 Guass whenever it can. If it's a Capture and Control Mission, they camp the objective in my deployment, when things get close, 20 S5 AP 4 Guass shots can be pretty devastating.

Scarabs do what scarabs do, distract, destroy, and tarpit.

Destroyer Lord and Praetorians go and fight off any medium to semi-tough assault units that might cause problems for me.

Anrakyr blows up the big vehicles, maybe assaults tactical marines or other scoring units. His Tesla equipped barge is for light vehicles and softening up scoring units. He might stay close to the Destroyer Lord to add some punch to that assault when it happens.

The Barges shoot at things. They all have Guass, S5 AP3 as a secondary weapon against MEQ troops, should they not move or the destructor gets destroyed.

I think the weakest part in the list is the Immortals, but you gotta have some scoring units, and both those units will be somewhat challenging to displace, especially if supported by other elements in the army.

To play this, I need to buy 3 boxes of Immortals, and two more Barges.

I think your just trying to justify expenditures Razz

i like the last list better. more shooty and more scoring. more av13. less inclined to fold when one or more units gets blowed up. I think perhaps if you could find a way to add a unit of scarabs to it,(to soak, scare, and eat) that would be the better list.

so far the most scarey stuff in the book resides in fast attack, at least from my perspective.

i actually like the 3 ark list in the other thread. but.. perhaps buying pre-built arks off of ebay Razz cuz i dont have the patience for that. if I'm going to spend 4 hours putting together a mini, it better be customized out the ass and win me games by hitting the table.

probably like below. and run it like a bubble list. use the arks to give your Barges cover early game, then advance with your arks late game. use your two command barges to either counter charge people that want to come get you, or flank shooty armies. you have the range and mobility to beat early melta units (cept land speeders Sad ) and enough AV13 to shrug off a lot of fire. On top of the two solar pulses to change the lighting to your advantage.

I know right? I think I'd spend 10+ Hours on each Ark, for 115 points of suck. It feels like points spent just to keep warriors alive by putting them in a slow ass transport. All kinds of bad.
