1 500 is a bit too low considering most of my armies don't function well at that level, but could always just do space marines.
Having secret missions is half of the reason for a tournament. An army should be prepared for anything.

Canadin - Aye, fully painted army (In the eyes of your opponent) would be 6 points, plus 1 point for each of your three opponents who thinks you had the best painted of the armies they faced that day.
Stash - True, but personally I hate secrets. I'd much rather know (And as Tyson has revealed the three missions, I am happy) something rather than be 'surprised'.

hey tyson how much of a stickler are you going to be about proxying? i ask this because i would like to include a model that is not properly modeled for its equipment. Is it alright to play with models that dont actually have the right equipement as long as they are distinguishable from the rest of the unit?

I'd have to say that I'm not gonna be too stuck up about proxies. The fact of the matter is, as long as your opponent knows right away what is what, it should be fine (and honestly the sportsmanship score will probably reflect that aspect )

I disagree with the first half and agree with the second half - but the second half only on behalf of the army's ability to handle other armies.Lord_Commander_Stash wrote:

The NOVA Open had its missions out in advance for many months (well, weeks... mvbrant was fine tuning them heh) and I'd dare say that's regarded as one of the most successful and competitive tournaments run within the past many years.
Anyway, I doubt I'll attend. I won't bother making excuses as some random jackass (well, you know who you are ) will just try (and fail) to shoot them down.

bullshit alex just plain bullshit. You go to tournaments to have fun and play this awsome game you dont go to tournaments to know exactly what the hell your going to be doing and have planned accordingly for months ahead of time. tournaments should be a suprise and actually test your gaming ability. Take the tournaments that are held in PA for example. New or at least modified missions every time and based on luck of the draw you never know what mission your going to play. sure ive had the odd time that a mission has screwed me over for a win but you know what that did to my game plan? absolutely nuthing! "kill points with emphasis on the general? ok well lets see why dont i just kill you down to a man?......objectives with your general acting as a objective when slain? alright why dont i just kill you to a man and see how many objectives you can hold?" just stuff like that.
but hey thats just my scrambled opinion on this particular case. I enjoy how ben does his tournaments based on the thrill of surprise and that i have yet to have just an awful time. Thats my 2 cents worth though so i hope you can at least see things from my point of view:P agreeing with me is something i dont really care about lol

Allright guys lets leave'im alone, badgering him more's just going to make him more stubborn.
Also lets keep the jack*ss/bullsh*t to a minimum, k guys? I don't mind profanity myself, but lets keep it down on the boards, eh? It just looks bad.

Re: Tournament August 21st
I won 1st place and best general (and then immediately spent that money on a BANEBLADE for the upcomming Apoc game)
Raegan won best painted and 2nd place I think
Adam (not me) won the door prize
I can't recall the rest of the standings
