League Announcement
Alrighty dudes, as I mentioned before, my time has become pretty tight. I haven't been able to dedicate much time into the past two leagues, so it's time to hand over the reigns to some guys who can take care of the league properly. Adam and Jim are going to running the next league.. I think Adam and Jim, or maybe jsut Adam with help from Jim and Tyson.. or something like that. ... all thats important is that something new is going to be taking things over.
Once I free up some time, or the Worldeaters get their own army book, I'll get back into the swing of things and hopefully play some games. Ive played game since christmas which is pretty darn ridiculous.
I think the guys have some neat plans for some league play, so make sure you give them your full support.
I'll still be lurking here taking care of the forum and the like. I'll be checking in several times a day still, so I definitley won't become a stranger.
I'll be wrapping up the current league shortly here with some playoffs, then we can let the new guys start fresh. If you have any questions, ask away!

Re: League Announcement
Robyn, right off lets be honest. The World Eaters will never get their own book.
With that out of the way, I suppose I'll just add a little depth to Robyn's post. After talking it over with Robyn, and absent anyone more senior that wants to take the reins, Jim, Tyson and myself have offered to handle things for the upcoming league/leagues. Specifically, Jim will be handling scoring and some moderating duties, Tyson will be handling rules questions both at the den and on the forums, and I'll be handling a lot of the formatting for the league as well as public relations (Like now!)
Like Robyn I'm pretty eager to see things underway with the new league, if only to get a feel for how the concepts that we've been bouncing around at the league and at home will work out. While we've mostly cemented the format we think will work best for the league, I'm still happily accepting conversations and or PM's from anyone who'd like to give their two cents on what things should look like. For the record here, the base format for the next league will be as follows:
- An open format competitive league. Your first two games a week count, scoring will be win/lose/draw with a bonus for painted armies. Game style, point cost and everything else is left up to the participants.
- Monthly painting challenge. More info will come on this one, but it'll basically be a bonus to your point score for a competitive player. Everyone who participates will end up getting points in one form or another.
- Monthly or Bi-Monthly events. Either tournaments or apocalypse games or what have you. We're going to try and get a regular event schedule going.
- A story based campaign. This one we are still going over specifics wise, but it'll basically be a 'for fun and fluff' style campaign, using the occasional home brew unit and adding in specialty conditions and the like. Games played in the fluff campaign can pass on to the competitive league if both players agree, so as to not split our player base between 'fun' and competitive.
That should be a basic summery for now. I'll be posting up a pair of threads in General Discussion ASAP in regards to league format and campaign stuff.

Re: League Announcement
We were supposed to be starting the league this past Wednesday (Sept 1st), I know Adam was working on the new forums last week, I think he's done but I haven't been able to talk to him in a few days due to conflicting work schedules. We should be up and running soon.
