New League!

A few idears.....

Cull the Battle Missions book for a few. I know SEVERAL are out there, but a few (The Chaos Marine loot mission springs to mind) work well.

4th Ed Missions. I think there were 9, would be relatively easy to update.

I know Ben had a bunch he used for tournaments, I have it somewhere on my hard drive, I think there were 12, but a few were table specific.

Last, I can go thru my White dwarf Back issues and see what I can get. A lot of the older ones had new missions for the battle reports.

Counting the 9 standard missions (3 deployments x 3 missions) that'd give us....somewhere around 30-ish give or take? We could cull it down and do say 16, so you roll 3d6 for a mission and throw the sucker on a bell curve.

Keeping it basic would be a good idea as we seem to have a bunch of new guys who are new to the town and/or the game. Hopefully they will all participate!

@ Robyn: I can compile them, I've kinda already started.

@ Tim: Yeah, I do hope turn out is good for the league and we get some new guys playing. In the simple vein, it occured to me if we just add 3 more deployment options and 3 more missions we're actually @ 36 and it'd be relatively easy to remember and implement if ppl wanted to play them.

Here here to a simple league.

Having a good mix between kill point and objective missions would be great.

Rhaenyn: We've just rolled off for std missions in the past. The last league Tom ran had some home-brew, but there was definately a mix.

This is not really related to the topic but is there some sort of sign up for new members?

There will be a sign up sheet at the den before the league kicks off just bring your money, sign up and your good to go

Does that mean I have to sign up before this weekend?

I'm going to be in on this. I will likely not be in the playoffs though as I'll be moving to BC in January. It's going to be fun getting back into the game.

Hmmm, I just might be able to play in this one. I do like the idea of playing missions.

There is a signup sheet as of..... today, 11:23 or so, I went to sign up on my lunch break and Darren just printed up an older one and updated it.

Well this is exciting news! I was reading through the forum, and I apologize in advance if this is redundant, but may I inquire as to the official start date for the league and how much sign up will be?

I think it's five-dolla. I'll be bringing some cash when I play a friendly non-league game on Sunday.

Jub and I played a couple of games tonight. Was pretty dead there, weather and all.
