Re: PA results
Well, it wasn't one of us!
best overall was won by Ben, but he graciously gave it up, not wanting to "win at his own tournament". So he gave it up to the night lords player, I forget his name.
2nd best went to John.
Best painted mini by me, Pascal.
best army= Ben M.
best Sportsman= Neal M.
Scariest= Alex, with 182 friggin Orks.
best Smack-talk= our own Ben Sutherland!!!!
Best general= Greg
Then there was loudest and biggest loser, won by those guys who won the last few years, I don't know their names.
Doorprizes were= Matt K, Stash, and.... I dunno.
Great overall Tournament there Ben, thanks! A little light on fig prizes, but still a good time, and great tables.

Re: PA results
thats right, i won best general. that means i am better than the rest of the generals. its pretty much saying i win the whole thing when concerned with the actual gaming aspect.
I also only had 4 units (2 thousand son squads, ahriman, 5 terms in a raider and 8 bikers + lord biker) 34 models and 2 rhinos and the raider.
Good tournament, wish i had won some figs as best general though, oh well.

Re: PA results
So all in all, I think things went superbly We had a packed house of 20, the vast majority being Stoon and former PA guys. Thanks y'all for coming out!
Again, John and I tweaked a few things. The Missile Command table was a new scenario, and all the other tables got a tweak or two as well. What was everyone's thoughts on the common rules sheet? Hopefully it helped streamline things, that was the idea.
So this may or may not be the last tourney I do in PA, as I'm moving down there in the fall. If I do run another tourney, I figure it will be near the end of june-ish.
Figure prizes were a bit light this time around, I would have liked to give out 1 or 2 more, but since we had the mass exodus to Stoon, PAWG isn't taking in the club dues we used to. The treasury briefly went into the red to finance this tournament, with some of my own cash to back it up So cutting out prizes was the best way to reduce costs.
I thought it was hilarious how I cleaned up at my own tournament, but didn't think it appropriate to give the title to myself, so the next guy got it
And now time to bring Greg down a peg or so.......because I can. I, Ben McLeod got best general technically, followed by one other guy, then Greg in a tie with 2 others I then had to go to my second tiebreaker to determine that he was best general. However, that being said, I am highly impressed with your performance with a 1K sons list. Kudos to you!
I'd like to know what Ben Sutherland thought of the event, as I think this may have been his first big tourney. I could be wrong on that though.
I think thats about it for now. Thanks to those who voted my bugs coolest army! Hope everyone had fun!

That is correct, sir! I'll be beginning my pre-dentistry courses! Not sure how much time there will be for gaming then, but sometimes gotta have SOME priorities

Re: PA results
Greg= You did do pretty awesome dude, Congrats.
Ben= understandable about the cost then! I actually thought the missile command board, being the first one I played on, was the coolest! Even though I only got the defense towers online at the end, and then they couldn't touch Neal's A14 LRC, It was still cool as beans to control them!

I liked the change to the (robot?) scenario, where they are a secondary objective rather than a dice off luck fest to win. Also only hitting the bunkers in the bunker scenario was great. There is no longer a large nuclear cloud when guard plays it, or an even larger one when tyranids play it.
