Monstrous creatures, vehicles and Line of Sight
LexMechanic wrote:Does a rhino block LOS to a daemon prince? I know there is going to be actual LOS but in the game mechanics i think that any vehicle or monstrous creature blocks anything behind it. Just want to clarify.
Vehicles are considered to be the same size as monstrous creatures, so a monstrous creature behind a vehicle cannot be seen. To this day I'll still hide my prince beghind a rhino on an approach move..

You knows I loves to argue!!! :)
I hate to say it but the first bulleted point on page twenty of the BGB (semi)clearly states that LOS around vehicles, vehicle wrecks, monstrous creatures and even artillery should be drawn from the "models eye view" and can be drawn over or past such models... So technically, if you model your demon price tall enough then he can see and be seen past shorter models, and if I model my wraithlords lying down I could conceivably hide them behind almost anything.
But then again, I guess wraithlords can never fire past anything seeing as they don't actually have eyes Ooooh, I should model them crawling then put googly eyes on the tops of their backpack antena things, I can see you but you cant see me!!!
Yet more proof the GW cant write rules to save their life (or more likey, their company)...

Thanks for posting a proper response instead of my off the cuff one. I sometimes forget we have to take the rules exactly as they are written these days. This probably isn't a bad rule to begin to practice, since I believe the rumour is in 5th edition that this will apply for all units, including infantry.
