boys and....boys? You mean to tell me that you do not have one female 40K player in the league.

Urlec= Nope. Though the fact you find that hard to believe is... hard to believe. There are women who play 40k, but it ain't like its common.

Re: PAWG Tournament!
Sorry I got off the topic of the post....
Not so hard to believe Paz I know a number of female players back home. My girlfriend got her own tau army and wants to start playing again when she finishes getting it built up. Any problem if I bring her along one night?

Yes.
Of course not, its cool. I know Greg's wife (candace) has played a few games, and there are one or two fantasy warhammer female players. If she makes any of the guys uncomfortable, then they need to put their dice down, and go out into the light for a bit.
I've tried to get my fiancee to play, but, though she encourages my hobby, she shows little interest in gaming.
i think 40k is more of a boys club. There are exceptions, but you can not honestly tell me that lots of girls play 40k.

Im the same way. My Girlfriend wouldn't ever try playing.. These games are not of her interest, but she doesnt stop me from playing, nor bashes the hobby at all.

I am in your boat. I tried to rope my wife in with the painting side, as she already paints weird crafts (like lightbulbs and stuff). She wouldn't do it. I even tried the 'couples activity' argument. Didn't fly.

Re: PAWG Tournament!
My wife loves to paint models. she even asks to play occassionally. It's tough for us to both get out and play however due to the baby. So she hasnt played inm a while. she has a witchhunter army.

I am a recovering WoW addict, and am using 40k as the replacement. My wife HATED WoW. Not regular hate, either. We are talking some Old Testament, fire & brimstone-style hate. If I am painting little army dudes and spending the occassional Wednesday at the Den, she would never give me grief.

I wouldn't worry about it ben, I've been painting all month for this tourney, and still have another 20 marines to go.

I hear you man, I havent played for almost two years now, and even when I was playing it wasnt crazy or anything. However, my wife HATED it. .. I think it was simply the whole can;'t pause it, cant getoff the computer until somethingid done (raid, instance). For whatever reason, she just hated it. Anyway, life became much more enjoyable post WoW. Ive got a few friends that still play.. alot.

Re: PAWG Tournament!
I used to play WoW almost all the time... it was bad
I eventually got to replacing it with Magic, Warmachine, 40k, drinking, friends, and stuff.
Its jsut a matter of finding something else to do in my opinion, hopefully something that involves other people.

Re: PAWG Tournament!
Okay, an on topic question here.
Since imperial armor and special characters are allowed in the PAWG. Would I be allowed to bring and use the forgeworld Shas'o R'ymer?
or would I be able to take the optional suit upgrades if I have the models to represent it? Ex: the xv89 suit upgrade from imperial armor 3 torros campaign?

Re: PAWG Tournament!
Does he have an IA entry? It would have to be an actual entry from an IA book, and not the experimental rules presented on the FW site.
At least that's my take on it. You could PM Ben though for an official ruling.
