Ebay Sisters

Ok, with the Escalation league now pretty much a hands down affair, I was thinking of starting off a Sisters army for it.

Looking on Ebay I found this item up for sale but since I haven't shopped on Ebay before, I'm not sure if it's a good deal. I mean, it certainly seems like it is a good deal but I'd like your guy's opinion so I don't get screwed. :p

Army consists of the following models:

24 sisters with bolters

11 sisters with flamers

3 sisters with heavy flamers

8 sisters with meltaguns

4 sisters with multimeltas

2 sister imagifers with simulacrum imperialis

1 cannoness (painted to a very high standard)

1 sister superior with plasma pistol and chainsword

3 sister superiors with bolter and power weapon

1 sister superior with auspex and bolter

2 sister superiors with flamers

Enough backpacks for all the sisters.

All that for 36.00 GBP (around 70.00$ Canadian)

That seems like quite a deal for just a starting off army. What do you guys think?

Most "army" deals go for about 200 depending on what it has in it....

yea but there is still 3 days left on the auction. Its already jumped to $75 it will probably go for alot more

Yeah, basically, decide how much you're willing to pay for that army. Then on the day the auction closes (or preferrably as close to 0 hour as you can get, being there with a minute left is often when you get the best deals) enter in your maximum bid, that way eBay will automatically match any counter-bids up to your maximum limit. If you win, horray, otherwise rest easy with the notion there is some rich punk out there paying more than you would for the same product. Capitalism at its finest. =P

From my own experience, i've learned to wait untill the last minute to bid on armies. A high bid placed too soon will push the price up near the end. Keep in mind to not get caught up in bidding wars. Only bid if you think you will save time and money.

You also have to take into account; exchange rates, shipping and customs fees. If you do win an item a good tip, is to ask the seller to mark the item as a gift when they ship it. You will not be charged customs fees if it is marked as a gift.

Damn you're right, it's already doubled in price. I don't know if I'd be worth it in three days.

All in all, the price stabilized at around 168$, I tried to get in there at the last minute but someone else had the same idea, a short but frantic bidding war later and I cut it off at 200 and let the other guy have it. Too rich for my blood.
