7th edition

If GW thinks i'm paying $80 for another version of the rules 2 years in. (june 2012) they are bloody bonkers.

going to be the most pirated book in the history of games.

On one hand, 6th edition is a mess, so i hope they can clean some things up. On the other hand. Fuck them.

just took a look myself at the GW site, and they're right; the 6th edition rule books are all no longer available.

my bookshelf will die with another 40k rules tome added to it.

but it would be nice to see assault become a bit more prevalent in some way, shape or form.

And people think army lists are an exercise in points efficiency now.

If they do go and do the percentage system like they're rocking in WHFB, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if some of the other rules for that means of comping come along with, such as only being able to take at most 2x of a Heavy Support unit or 3x of an Elite unit (ie: 25% of you list could be HS, but any individual entry could be taken only up to twice, so 2x Barge + 2x Spyder squad would work, but 4x Barge wouldn't).

All it makes me think of were the old days of Brettonians. 25% core and 75% heroes. Was always a bit of a show.
