Re: Some Rhino popping Math
Twin Linked Heavy Guass cannon is the first entry in the thread (TL BS4 S9) vs AV 11.
Melta depends on range. Did you want the whole spectrum Tom? AV10, AV10 Open Topped, AV 11, AV 11 Open Topped, AV 12, AV 13, AV 13 Open Topped and AV 14? Once for S8, the other for S8 within melta range, assuming 2 shots, then one for the S9 TL?
Check back around 1:30 / 2PM ish.

Re: Some Rhino popping Math
Lots of numbers would be great. I have my Stalker built such that it can field either weapon config by simply rotating the weapon array to point that particular gun forward.
All in all, I am guessing that the TL HGC is more ideal if range is going to be an on-going issue (ie: Apocalypse), but for general usage I'm guessing the Heat Ray is going to be better.

TL S9 BS4 AP2 Guass

EDIT: The only case twin-linked heavy guass out-performs the Heat Ray is against AV14 beyond melta range (and obviously from 25"->26")
Sounds like a real bad idea to spend 15 points to down-grade a gun. Both of them have ~88% to give the rest of the army twin-linked. If you had two stalkers shoot at one target within melta range, the second one has a *very* good chance of popping it.

Re: Some Rhino popping Math
So barring extreme range vs AV14, Heat Ray generally trumps the TL HGC. Good to know.
