Yet another nid list

hey all this is my preliminairy list that ill be trying this week so let me know what you think

Deathspitters to me got better with the assault 3 now. And putting a tyranid prime they are even better because they become bs 4. Looks pretty good.

Tyrant guard are useless. They don't offer protection in CC anymore (thanks Cruddance, for screwing that one up) so all they are are expensive wounds for shooting.

Are the zoeys foot-slogging? I think it'd be better to deep strike them, personally. That way they at least get to do something before they die.

I think the list needs more redundancy, because if your Zoanthropes drop you have no way of taking out vehicles. Against armies like Eldar, CC doesn't work against vehicles - the Trygon might be able to do something if he can catch the vehicles, but the amount of strength 6 weaponry Eldar field... he's not gonna live long. Lord help you if someone drops a group of Fire Dragons in front of his face.

Holycause= the guard will be faq'd, that was just unclear. It would be fascile to try and argue that in a league game, I would allow any person using those point sinks to count them as a squad. Why would they exist if they offer no significant protection to the tyrant?

ya i cant wait to see how often your tyrants crash and burn because they dont seem to have proper meat sheilds infront of them

Its not crappy rules by GW holycause, its just rediculous-ness. ive guard that don't guard? Mawlocs that don't ...maw? These are obvious mistakes, or miswordings, RAI rules here me thinks.

I have yet to build a list using tyrant guard, so we'll see if they have a place in the army.

The current "best of" lists I've seen don't even include a hive tyrant, so.

Looks interesting, I'd love to test my guys against some of the new bugs and see how it goes. Haven't read the codex enough to know exactly what the changes are, but I'd rather play'em than memorize'em anyways. Looks like a lotta targets for my big guns to choose from...

Guard versus bugs is the fight I would want to see. It'd be interesting to note how these two new armies (and fairly extensive retrofits of their previous incarnations) fare.

This is good news anyway, I have two Tyrant guard models that I thought would have to sit on the shelf sollecting dust anyhow
