I don't play a lot, mostly with my kids.  But with them growing we might get into it a lot more.  Any thoughts on 8th edition would be appreciated?  Faster/slower?  Less/more complicated?  I have Necrons, Space Marines (Ultra), Eldar, and som Orcs.

Well, the core rules are only 12 pages long to start with. Special unit rules all tend to be covered on the unit that has them, unless its an army wide one, then the Index has that covered. No more death stars of 12 HQs in one immutable ball of rules (though some armies will still run of mix of characters together for different reasons). Once everyone gets used to the rules I can see this edition playing a lot quicker.

The new edition is much faster and cleaner than the old. The reduction in rules and how the current "buffs" interact makes for improved gameplay IMO. Like any game there are some irritations but much better than 7th.
