Re: 1850 Competitive Eldar List
How competitive are you trying to go? Like local competitive? Or like eventually going to bigger tourneys outside stoon?
For local it should be decent. Only question: why take the guardian battle host if you have a bunch of bikes already? Why not take the skyrunner battlehost or whatever its called as your core detachment? Also why no heavy weapons on the bikes? I would atleast take one every 3rd bike (sticking to old rules not the goofy new ones everyone gets one or even every second bike). Also i think one d cannon is a bit of a waste. I would suggest 3 vibro cannon batteries (90 pts total) if they all hit you get essentially 3 lascannon shots, not too shabby plus if enemies you shoot at are close to the guardians then you get preferred enemy shooting at those dudes with the cannons. Do you really need 3 squads of dragons? I would splurge for some warp spiders if you have them they still get the bs 5 that way and offer a little more tactical flexibility. Now i understand this leaves an open deepstriking falcon but that's where the first point comes in, why the guardians? If you want to make your core cheap go with bikes. If you want to use the guardians dont skimp on the vypers and the warwalkers otherwise they are essentially a waste of points IMO. Plus 3 vypers can be very strong for very few points and are quite mobile.
So in summary its a pretty good list for local competition. Going bigger and less local it will likely have issues vs the all heavy weapon bike spam and wraithknight lists. The list is not my play style (it lacks flexiblity to an extent as well as unit variety), but the only thing i could suggest if this is your play style is to look for a way to get more out of the vyper, walkers and support batteries in the core formation. Those are all easy first blood targets my themselves. (the warwalker and vyper can be wrecked by bolters for crying out loud lol) and are otherwise just a waste of points you could use elsewhere. Also you have 13 pts left take one heavy gun on one bike haha.
PS dont know if we've met. My name is Brian and i play eldar and am starting some harlequins.

Re: 1850 Competitive Eldar List
Thanks for the reply, I am indeed in the UK. Not sure how I ended up on your forum but I have been hanging around it for some time now haha.
I agree that it lacks flexibility and isn't really making the most of some units in the Guardian Battlehost. I've now had a game with and made some changes. (p.s. the Falcon Fire Bomb was pretty epic against Knights)

Re: 1850 Competitive Eldar List
Fire Dragons on foot are going to die. I could see a squad in a waveserpent. The other aspects can be very good too. Fire dragons are fun, but they're going to die.

Yeah thats where they go. Then they deepstrike in using the cloustrike rule without scatter and also benefiting from the +1 or -1 to reserve roll granted by the autarch.
I do like the changes to the list. Definitely getting more out of the walkers, vypers and support batteries. 6 Missile launchers on the warwalkers might be a bit excessively expensive but it does make the unit very flexible in regard to being able to kill pretty much everything.
My only concern now would be that the list has too few models. But i guess 3 falcons with 3 squads of dragons isnt anything to scoff at. I would see if i could squeeze a small bike squad detachment in there some where just for added mobility but you'd have to find the points...(allied eldar with warlock HQ and 3 windrider jetbikes w/shuriken cannon obo 111 ish points?)
