~Paz's Workbench~ PURGE THE WEAK!

After 7th came out, I was feeling a loss of interest in 40k. Prices were skyrocketing, dataslates were becoming a thing, and I was just not that into it. I sold all my armies, and decided I needed a change of pace, for miniature gaming.
Infinity was the perfect game to get me energized about tabletop again. Rules are so tight, and its truly not "what you have" but "how you use it" that matters (listbuilding seemed to have become the majority of people's 'tactics' in 40k).
I'm still deeply in love with infinity, as you can see by my Infinity blog, but I missed the rich and wonderful world of the dark future, and all the fun conversion potential! I missed the beer and pretzels feel of 40k. Infinity is the chess to 40k's checkers, but sometimes you just want to shut off the ol' brain and play some checkers!

Enough Rambling though!


This particular force is going to be an army I can play using both 40k rules and 30k rules if I can help it. This will be a chapter of the Word Bearers legion as seen post-Calth.

Battles of Note: Took part in shadow crusade, fighting the Ultramarines across the 500 worlds. operated from the cardinal-class Cruiser Exhumation of Eternity, the chapter struck out on its own, breaking off from the main Word Bearers/World Eaters fleet, operational status unknown.

Dark Apostle Eresh Drauga
Eresh Drauga was a member of High Chaplain Erebus' inner circle. More the warrior than the priest, Drauga was quick to form daemonic pacts as he rose to power within the ranks of the VIII legion. Drauga even allowed daemonic possession of his body. After Calth, and the betrayal of so many battlebrothers by Erebus and Kor Phaeron, Drauga struck out on his own, sailing his ship and chapter into the void. Rumors persist of attacks across the Segmentum Ultramar, whispers and cut-short astropathic cries for help, of a dark Astartes warrior-priest and the hardened veterans and daemonic legions he wields against enemies of his mysterious agenda.

I've got a pretty sweet metallic red color scheme in mind for the bearers of the word!

Makes me want to get back to working on my daemons. Got to get all these other projects out of the queue first, though.

CSM & Daemons? If so.... I know Helbrutes aren't very good, but that kit.... gotta be my favorite GW model right now.

I'd wager that CSM would get a new codex "soon" (like, sometime 2016)

Rumors have it that there is going to be a bunch of cult support for CSM in White Dwarf in the next few months.

All these rumors make me so happy.

And I think I might save up and get the ghal Mara possessed contemptor, and counts as it for a helbrute!
