My problem with spam is in regards to the spamming of the power/beardy units.
Honestly in the spirit of a highlander format I could easily, and in fact would, make a legal list so long as the death storm slates were allowed (I don't own scouts - nor do I want any) as I couldn't double up on the tactical squads.
As for my lists I make, they are almost in the realm of highlander as it is, minus my pods which I usually take 2-3 of in most lists. Easily adjusted. I'd take Razorbacks, a rhino, or just jump pack them.
I Hope another highlander format tournament takes off, would be super fun.

It's tempting to set something up, but I'd also like to play in it... so there's that. I could run it if it was self running, like "dude who wins, wins" and "painting - attendee voted" and "best list - attendee voted"

Alternately, we could just get Al to do the paint scoring. Impartial, as he wouldn't be participating beyond that.

The issue here for a tourney especially, is where the line is drawn. Everyone plays differently and has different preconceptions what "spam" exactly is.

So, instead of coming to a seemingly arbitrary conclusion on what kind of units can be multiple, just simply say "one of each dedicated transport only in a given choice"

Troops can be multiples, otherwise it can severely affect some army compositions and do nothing to others, I see no issues there.

Oh yeah.. in a regular game spam doesnt bother me more than the next guy. I just like the hoghlander way.

I would be in for a highlander tournament.

I also say keep it to one transport until all are taken.  That's the point of highlander taking different units and having to try new play styles and strategies.  That's stuffs fun and that's the point of a Highlander tournament.

I'm asking Darren what the next 6 - Saturday's look like.

Any preference for you guys? Should totally do it on Valentines day.
