It it accepted a practice to use a DP model for a lord of change or a bloodthirster?

So long as it can be distinguished from any other princes and/or greater daemons you are using at the time, I don't think it would be an issue. If you want to cover your bases, though, I have a pewter Changer of Ways available for trade. Very Happy
