Some Nurgle Demons -Fantasy-

I thought I might post these pics here, even though they're based for end get some CC. The level of painting is very high around these parts, and I'd love to get some feedback. Lay in to me! Tell me what can be improved. I have no feelings to speak of, I only cry when I see the part where Spock dies at the end of Wrath of Khan and nothing else. So give me your best shot!

First off, it cool to see a fantasy guy posting over here! We all like to see cool minis, and new techniques.

The great unclean one is amazing. I cannot say enough about this model. Color choice is great, and i am impressed to see you go outside the box and even use some purples. It has enough color to give it personality, while at the same time maintaining a dark and dirty feel. I really like that you used different colors for the areas under the skin. Sword looks wicked, i have always thought that bronze(brass) looked best with nurgle models. Nice choice of color on the tongue as well, it looks suitable leatherish.

Plague bearers also look very nice. I really like the way you blend different colors on the models. The only thing i am not a big fan of is the bright green for the ooze and highlights on the swords. I think i would have gone with the same bronze you used on the great unclean one sword, but thats just me. They DO look like plague swords as is though.

Overall very nice, good use of dark colors.

Cam I agree with you 100% on the garrish extreme highleght on the plaguebeareres weapons. I think I will eventually take it off. I was pleased with it four the first five models I did but disliked it after seeing a big unit together.

The GOOD thing about it is that it helps me to remember that they get poisoned attacks (they didn't used too!) because I dislike it so much. Maybe I can cheat and just throw some oil wash over top and tone it way down....

the only 2 pointers i have are
1) the bases look far to square, they need to be rounder , and what is with groping them up like that ? you are just asking for a large blast marker to be placed on them .
2) like Cam pointed out the green on the swords is to much of a contrast for my tastes, mabye mixing some of the green with the base color on the sword would help it blend a bit more. actualy if you did that mixed color on the same area as the green is now but a litle wider then put the green on i think it might give it a "poison ozzeing for the blade " kinda look.

over all a great job though scott , i would be proud to field that army if it was mine
