Raven guard

The strike special rules dictate that units in this detachment have scout for the first turn. Would I be able to keep units in reserve and use the outflank special rule later on on or do I lose the ability?

I believe if you lose scout, you lose the outrank ability. That said unless you have sonething to help, like acute senses, I can't see it being a huge buff.
